Still reading and donating! I wonder if some people forget its here (or aren’t aware of it) because it’s a sticky thread. Most likely participating and not commenting. I have to keep myself from taking over the thread because I always want to come back and comment after visiting a site. So many great places we’re involved with here.
I’ve been printing out information about each place I’ve donated to and putting it together as a gift to my daughter so she can read about all the different organizations I’ve given to through this thread!

I am still reading about these great places. I intend to sit down and do all my donations at one time at the end of the year. It's how I will ring in the new decade.

Thank you for featuring SADS today, so many youth die in sports due to undiagnosed SADS conditions.

Thank you for doing this. I am just taken aback by the kind spirit of the Peas!!!!!!!!!!!!
We used to donate to animal shelters, AIDS Foundations, soup kitchens, etc...... in the past, and now I can say that I am just floored and absolutely humbled by the generousity of the Peas!!!!!!! I'm receiving a stream of gifts via Amazon from the Peas. I've been in tears (happy tears) and trying to grasp that my online friends here could be this thoughtful and generous!! This is the first Christmas in years that we will be surrounded by a room full of gifts.
Some people are just so wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

I'm doing this and please, please, please don't think I'm complaining! I just have some ideas and some questions in my mind that are bothering me. First off - I truly hope everyone is enjoying it as much as I am - so many wonderful places for our money to go. The only ones I haven't done are the ones that require a more than $1.00 donation (except for Kaitlyn's Foundation - did more there). I just hope that somehow these places are understanding that the $1.00 donation coming from several of us as part of a group? Sometimes I feel so cheap!
The other thing is that I have received letters from two of the charities thanking me for my donation. While that is lovely, they've already spent half of what I sent by acknowledging the gift? Most of the others just send an email which is appreciated.
I really don't want to miss out on donating to each one but I'm wondering if I'd be better off picking and choosing and donating more to certain ones? But I love them all so far! I just can't do more for 31 days and it's bugging me!
Sorry all - just some random thoughts. I love the idea and again - I'm NOT complaining - just getting some thoughts out there and hoping for ideas. Thanks!

@merge this made my cry this morning. The idea that more women who's lives were interrupted for cancer can receive some help to get back on track...thank you for including this. Thank you.

Maybe if we decide to do this again next year, we'll choose one charity weekly and commit to a slightly larger donation. Personally, I was just charmed by the idea of a reverse Advent calendar where we give daily instead of receiving daily. But totally open to other ways of doing this, if we do it in the future.

Completely agree - not complaining at all - I've loved it and loved the idea from the beginning.

Most of the others just send an email which is appreciated. When I do my donations during Minnesota's Give to the Max day, the donation form has a spot to check to make your donation annonymously. I pick that option so that the charities don't spend money sending a thank you, and also so they don't start sending me more donation requests. Not sure if these charities have that option though.

Oh that's a great idea! I didn't realize the anonymous donor slot did that!
Well, that's embarrassing! The charity I proposed requires a $25 donation if you do it online! Sorry about that ladies!
