Anyone going to try to go this next year? Just saw a post on fb about it. I’m always tempted to try to get a spot but I have no friends to go with! I’m considering trying to go anyway this year.

I am seriously considering going, not sure if I'd fly or drive. It would be a 3 day drive so definitely easier to fly but harder to pack for. Sounds like an awesome retreat but hard to get into. I'd be on my own too and would love to meet up with some peas if I'm fortunate enough to get in.

It’s Scrapbook Generations Luxury Crop and it is amazing! I hope I’m lucky enough to get in for a third time. I love the event, and the SG ladies.

I'm going to try to get in this year! I will be going with my niece who is local, but if she has to bail before registration for some reason, I will go on my own. From what I understand, in past years they put all the "singles" together which I think is very thoughtful! It's a 3.5 hour drive for me. Fingers crossed that I can get in! lol

I have never gone, but from things I have heard there are big goodie bags, and the classes include all the supplies needed to complete the projects. Might need an empty suitcase inside your checked one, and then check both of them on the way back. I am always tempted by the hype for these big events. But I am not sure it would be a good fit for me. I like to go to a retreat where the mindset is to get something done. I go with a plan, tons of stuff and build myself a little wall around my table, put my head down and start cutting and constructing. Don't know if I could commit the money or the time to something like this. But it does sound tempting, especially if there were going to be a bunch of Peas there... I hope some of the peas get to gather at this one.

Yes that's very true about the classes etc. It's just the idea of getting whatever you do decide to take getting there and it arriving and in one piece I guess. Plus having enough stuff to do. When I go to Crop and Create in Calgary I take very little because I am doing classes all weekend but I know that before I even sign up.They always have awesome classes so it's just a given. With this event I'm not sure if they have as many classes to keep be going the entire time. On the plus side it isn't a 24 hr doors opened crop area so I won't need to have as many things to do as I like to stay up to 2 or 3 a.m. and crop. Also I go to a lot of retreats so if I decide to fly and take less then I'd normally take/do that would be ok. Haha at build a wall around you. I like to go with a plan too but TBH I'm just as happy at the end of a retreat if I leave with not as many projects done if I've connected with friends, relaxed, did some scrappy or non scrappy retail therapy and recharged my mental wellness. Hopefully they will give lots of information in the next few weeks about what the classes are ahead of registration. It would be neat to drive and see the country but I'd be a bit nervous going that far by myself. No sense getting to far ahead because its all a moot point until registration LOL. It would be so cool to meet some peas!

I went to the first on in 2018. It was a bucket list trip for me. Going to an event hosted by SG and meeting up with people from a forum. Amazing experience. I paid more for my flight and flew directly into Springfield. I did a packing video and attempted to vlog while there. I also have a wrap up video on my channel. I can share them here if anyone is interested.
My advice for those single people here wanting to go - do it. But also consider creating a group and have one person be available to login and pay for all the spots in one go. Thats how we had ours set up. They didn't need each persons info until after payment reservations.

Looks like a few other people thinking of going! I leaning towards trying to get in and making it a fun get away. Although I didn’t think about how to pack and fly since I’m not sure I’d want to drive myself. I guess I can figure that all out after seeing if I get in or not!

I looked up how much it might cost for flight, hotel, event, and anything I might want buy....wow too much. I'd be better putting that towards a real vacation. But I am sad about it.

I am just dying to go to Crop and Create in Cornwall (I live near Ottawa). Is Crop and Create as awesome as I imagine it would be, lol? They seem to have the best teachers - this past September they had Vicki Boutin (I've taken a class from her before and she was excellent), Meghann Andrew, Shimelle, Jess Forster, Gina K and her daughter Rina, Cynthea Sandoval (from Doodlebug), among others. I have no one to go to it with - do you think it's still fun to go even if I'm alone? The main reason I hesitate is because I'd have to book time off from work for it, and if it's not worth it then I'd hate wasting the vacation days on it. Sorry to hijack the thread!

I do really love this one I've been to every one in Calgary. Isn't VB the best, love her so much! I really love the classes but if I wasn't doing the classes I'd find the space very confining to scrap at. The classes include a lot of product and are well worth their value. They give is a lot of swag thru the weekend, also usually in each class they have give aways plus thru out the weekend they draw names for awesome prizes. Usually we have an opportunity to buy excess SCT kits they sell online plus they have 2 onsite stores to shop from. Plus we get a kit at our table space which has enough product to make at least 2 doubles and a few singles usually. I find when I look at instructors other events get that we haven't got Gina K, Heidi Swapp, Amy Tan or Shimmle and not really sure why. I'd have no problem going on my own but I do that a lot so I'm really comfortable with that.

I am going to try to get a spot. It’s a plane trip for me from Southern California but that makes it all the more exciting to go!!
