I know there have been so many threads about Instant Pots, but have we talked cookbooks? My daughter asked for an Instant Pot for Christmas. She is a senior in college and lives in a house with several girls, and in the spring, she and her boyfriend will likely be moving in together. I found a great deal on an Instant Pot on Amazon, and I would like to get her a cookbook to go with it. She likes to cook, but she is very much a beginner. What cookbook would you suggest for her?

Honestly, I'd spend the money on a few accessories instead. YouTube is a great resource for inspiration, some of the books I've bought have been dire. One had black and white food photos and lots of the recipes were for the slow cooker. You can get some great accessories, like a steamer basket, tongs, spare sealing rings, egg moulds, springform pan etc. Amazon do a variety of different sets. Having a few accessories will really open up what she can make. YouTube channels I like are m.youtube.com/user/SixSistersStuffm.youtube.com/channel/UCWP5zYusIJqJCK27A0NlAKg. Pressure luck cooking, the guy on this channel has a book but it's not available here in the uk so I can't comment on how good it is. But if it becomes available I would consider it as his channel is good.

I find the best recipes on Pinterest. I have gotten a number of used books from Amazon and only found one or two recipes that actually produced something edible. I have Pinterest recipes are usually based on recipes that someone has made at home and are mostly reliable and only need to adjust the seasoning to my taste which I can do add the end. Most have a video o them too and many have printable options for the recipes. Make a recipe binder with tabs and a cute design on the front so she can add to it as she finds recipes she likes!

I like Pressure Luck but the best cookbook I’ve found is at rootitoot.com The book itself is not flashy, but the recipes turn out great every time.

I agree with the thought of buying additional accessories instead of a cookbook since you can find all kinds of good and reliable recipes online. My suggestion would be to get some kind of strainer basket, an extra seal or two (since you don’t want to use the same one for sweet dishes as you do for savory), a 7” springform pan that will fit inside the inner pot, and maybe some stackable pans to make more than one thing at once or some silicone egg bite molds (which can be used for more than just egg bites, IMO). If she needs recipes, there are tons of great blogs you could point her toward. I’ve learned a lot right from here and from resources people here have linked up.

Thanks for all of the ideas! I do like the idea of printing off some recipes and making her a binder to keep them in and add to. She is on Pinterest and likes trying new recipes. I went to Costco today and looked at a recipe book, and could not see her making any of the recipes in it. LOL
Is there a thread here that has recipes that someone can link me to? I usually don't pay attention to the Instant Pot threads because I don't have one. LOL That would give me a good place to start.
I didn't realize there were so many accessories, so thank you for telling me about them. I will spend my money on some of those rather than a cookbook.
