Hero arts is having a flash sale until 1/28. It’s save $25 on a six month sub kit. I’m sort of tempted because I’ve bought kits or pieces from the monthly release for about the past 5 or 6 months. I’m debating signing up even though I don’t need more stamps. I would like to make more cards though... This would make each kit about $28.82 each instead of $32.99 each for six months or $34.99 each month. Plus free shipping. I’ve been buying so many new releases that I could go either way—either save money if I’m going to buy them anyway or stop buying because I have enough kits to use! I have a week to finally decide. Anyone else interested in $25 off the 6 month kit subscription?

Hmmmmmm, as far as I know they have never done a sale on the subscriptions. I dropped my sub a long time ago as the kits do not appeal to me anymore. I wonder if the subs are down, and that is the reason for the discount offer.

Kind of tempting but there are a lot of kits that did not appeal at all last year. I liked the January one but who knows what the next few will look like.

It's such a hit or miss kit for me that $25 is not enough of a discount to get me to bite. Like anniefb, I liked the January kit a lot but that was probably the only one in the last 6 months.

Yeah, I’ve never heard of them having a sale before, and for a while there everything was sold out, but lately not so much. And the kits haven’t been my cup of tea lately. It’s so hard to know with these things if they’re going to be awesome designs you love or not. I guess if you’ve loved the past few months it might be a great deal for you. I don’t think I’d take the risk though (but I’m also not shopping right now - I have enough stamps/kits that I could make much better use of).

It’s weird—I’ve liked a lot of their recent quirky kits. The only recent ones I didn’t buy were the October and November Christmas ones. I bought some of the add ons for those months, but not the actual kits. I was mildly tempted by January but that was because of the envelope die and a couple of the stamps. Not really a good reason to get it so I’m sort of glad that one sold out. As I’ve mentioned, I don’t need another kit, I don’t need more stamps, but if I’m going to order from them every month despite that information, should I make it easy on myself and get kits for slightly cheaper with free shipping? Because I seem to like the weirder kits, I probably don’t have to worry about the kits selling out!! I could potentially spend less per kit and maybe be less tempted by add ons. I don’t know what I’ll do. I do agree that they are probably pushing the six month sub because overall kit sales are down. I guess my options are keep buying month to month and not worry about anything I like selling out because I have strange tastes or subbing and making it easier and cheaper at the risk of not liking a future kit.

Same for me. Very hit or miss. I find their kits and items 'too fiddly' if that makes sense.

I wouldn't want to be locked into getting a kit either. I know what I like when I see it and I know what I don't like. I prefer the flexibility. It is a great idea to give a coupon to attract new subscribers though! Ha ha—to attract new suckers like me! I still haven’t decided to do it, but I’m still seriously thinking about it!

Most of their kits are too themed for me. I do like some of them but I can’t justify spending the money for something I won’t get that much use out of.
