I was so bummed to learn sg stopped their kits in December 2019. I should have just kept hoarding them rather than cancelling...i really liked them. I see that Scrap room is still going strong, and Hip kits. Leaning towards scrap room (I've subbed in the past and like them) but curious what y'all think? Like patterned paper-heavy kits with letter stickers or rubobs but not too many extra "weird" embellies. Thanks!!!

I'll be watching this thread. I was really bummed about SG stopping as well!! I LOVE how they go together, the sketches, pics, etc. I do have a HUGE hoard of them so I'll still have some to work from but it's not the same as getting a box of goodies every month!

I've been looking at the Scraproom double shot club. I have so much paper but I miss getting a monthly kit and this one is a bit smaller. From what I have seen there's the Scraproom, Hip Kit, and Club Scrap that still do 12x12 kits. Hopefully someone knows of others!
I'm so sad that SG stopped their kit clubs even though I totally understand why. It's going to be sadder once I've worked through my stash of them, knowing that I can't get that type of kit again.

I didn't see your thread, and started a new one about Hip Kit Club, but then I deleted it.
I don't sub, but if I did, I might go with HKC. They have a paper only sub, and that's really all I'm interested in. I like to see what they feature for embellishments, but it's rare that I'm driven to buy what they're offering.
I really like the pages their design team puts out, even though my photo heavy pages look nothing like theirs. I still find them inspiring in the ways they use the products.

I just recently subscribed to My Creative Scrapbook. I've only received one kit so far, but absolutely loved it (still using it). Everything was matching, and lots of patterned papers with matching embellishments. I got the Creative Kit.

I like Scrap Room because it gives me a few pieces of the new collection paper and a handful of embellishments. It’s not a whole overwhelming collection but it’s enough to get a taste and “keep up” with all of the new stuff coming out. If there’s a collection I like, I can always get more—although I never actually need more. If there’s a collection I don’t like, I don’t feel badly getting rid of a few pieces of paper by adding to my donate pile. I’ve gotten a little behind with using them because of the holidays, but overall, I’ve been pretty good about actually using them and not letting them stack up (like I have with other kits in the past.) I also like Cocoa Daisy for mostly the opposite reasons. CD is unique and I love getting a whole box of coordinating paper, pocket cards, embellishments, stamps, and a travel notebook with coordinating designs on some of the pages. CD doesn’t do 12x12 though. I think they used to but stopped at some point before I started subbing. I’ve found that I use these kits to make travel notebook scrapbooks. I haven’t made one every single month though, so I do have a couple kits backed up in my stash. I do have plans to use them though—it’s just my job and family take up most of my time! Maybe I need to prioritize better?

I prefer to buy the one-off kits because I can get the themes and styles I know I will use! Plus, the Bank it option is awesome!

I pretty much hate (ok not hate but dislike) most of the major manufacturers stuff. It all starts to look the same year after year. I sub to cocoa daisy because every month is its own collection and she goes with bold themes and color choices I can’t get anywhere else. I spend $70 there every month but I’ve stopped shopping anywhere else. I don’t know what I spent pre cocoa daisy but it was more than that spread all over the place. If you like the current releases from manufacturers and creativation, then no, you won’t care for cd. But if you like unique themes and exclusive stuff, yeah come on over to the dark side! I make travelers notebooks but my Christmas one is HUGE so I cut the pages apart and am going to use rings to bind it. So I’m definitely learning to make the book fit my needs. It takes up much less space and I’m getting more photos put in than I did in 12x12 size!

I like Club Echo Park and subscribe to them. I've been happy with what I've got so far. Kits are sent out every two months. Club Echo Park

I was sad to see SG stopped too since I was thinking of joining again since I'm in need to getting a lot of pages done quickly! I current sub to Hip Kit which I do like, but at the same time don't. They tend to use the same designers/brands in all the kits, so a lot of the same thing IMO. And A LOT of flowers (or overwhelming amount for me!). And I a mom of all boys, so scrapping the more flowery, pink papers/embellishments all the time is tough for me. I do love their exclusives though and overall the kits.

It’s true...SG is still in the the kit business. Just not by monthly subscriptions. We had been creating six clubs per month for 14 years, and more than anything, Allison (Davis) and I needed a break from that schedule. We will have an announcement soon about how we will be moving forward with kits once we’ve had some time to let down a bit. I’m excited about doing some different topics, ones that wouldn’t have fit into our club categories!
Really appreciate all of you who have supported us through the clubs! I think you may find the changes to be appealing, at least I hope so!
