Does anyone subscribe to the CTMH card kit? I used to subscribe to Stampin' Up's Paper Pumpkin, but I prefer cards over crafty project things like treat baskets and little banners, so I unsubscribed when more of those started coming. I used to be a consultant for CTMH, so I'm very familiar with their products.
If anyone has any input, good or bad, let me know! Thanks!

Full disclosure - I'm a consultant, but my only customer is me. :-) I got the first one because I fell in love with the stamp set. And there were about 10 holiday cards in it that I used over the holiday season. I like the look of this current one, but I didn't invest in it (yet). I think the quarterly subscription is just a little too high for the value. Even before tax and S&H it's more than $2.00 per card. Yes, you get an exclusive stamp set, but still... There's no adhesive in it (which paper pumpkin does provide with the glue dots). The block is a very thin piece of acrylic that I find hard to use. The directions are brief and some novices might have a hard time following them - especially for projects like shaker cards. However, the quality of the cut outs and the cards I did like. I think they have the idea right and the designs are adorable, but I think the cost needs to come down by at least 30% to make it more viable as a subscription service.

I don’t know about CTMH, but Spellbinders, Hero Arts, and Simon Says Stamp all have card kits that may be worth looking at.
I haven’t subscribed, but I have gotten a couple of the Spellbinders kits and I really like them. They do come with metal dies though. I’m getting more and more addicted to the Hero Arts kits. They don’t have the actual card bases in them, but they pretty much have everything else to make neat cards. I don’t know much about SSS and I’ve never ordered from them. Some people love them and some have been frustrated many time by their customer service and shipping.

The price made me raise my eyebrows, that's for sure. No adhesive? A thin piece of acrylic as a block? Yikes. Although I've been stamping for years and have plenty of adhesive and blocks, then that price is definitely too high if something is excluded or is lesser quality than normal.

baylorgradYes, I agree. If I really, really like the cards/stamp set like I did with the last set, then I can justify it. But I haven't been able to get there yet with the current one. We'll see what they release in May. Per card - Paper Pumpkin is a much better value in my opinion. But I get what you're saying about the mix of Paper Pumpkin kits. Wish they had a card only subscription option. Maybe where it just automatically excludes you for non-card months?

An exclusion for non-card months would be great, too!
