I have lots of page kits ready. Kid free weekend and we want to stay home so I’ll have lots of time to scrap. Waiting for mojo to make an appearance. Where do you all look for inspiration?

I get lots of inspiration from instagram. I save projects that inspire me in some way and refer back to them when I need some fresh ideas.
This weekend, I won't be doing actual scrapbooking but I will be working on page kits for a retreat I am going to next month. I'd love to at least get 4 or 5 done.

I'm making cards for Cards for Little Hearts. I, too, save ideas I run across on Instagram into specific files (like Valentines or birthday) and general files (like layout or color scheme). It's a great reference and inspiration tool for me.

I’m going to try to get stuff done this weekend.
For inspiration I like Pinterest or the paper issues Facebook group. I love to do their challenges.

Sounds like a crafty weekend for a lot of peas! If anyone is interested, mamakoala would like to set up a Hangout crop this evening, 6-9 PM EST, I think. Discussion about it HERE, near the bottom of page one. But I think mamakoala will be setting up a separate thread sometime today. It's easy to join in with a tablet or desktop computer that has a camera/mic. And really fun to attend a crop and never have to pack up your supplies or get out of your pj's! I am heading to my dd's for the weekend, so will have no time to scrap this weekend. I pushed really hard to finish my Christmas album earlier in the month, and my mojo is taking a bit of a break anyway. Have a pretty busy week coming up, too, so I prob won't be creating much until February. Have fun! PS. I find the Gallery here full of ideas. Have already picked some pages and cards I want to lift. If you have not checked out the Challenges board, maybe take a look at the January Sharing thread. Other than that, I go to Pinterest. If you want to take a look at my boards, HERE is a link to them.

Oh, and for inspiration I would have to say Instagram. I find that I get really overwhelmed though with too much inspiration.

I have 2 sick kids. One is on the way to recovery, the other ... I hope will be soon. DH has it and is on the road to recovery as well. So any time I have depends upon them. I have Valentines supplies out for cards and I’d like to finish.
I like IG, P, and FB for inspiration and the gallery here.

I look on Pinterest for inspiration, then I click on the pin, go to the link, and scroll through most of the blog or website. Then I pin, pin, and pin.
I made a page earlier today of my son's first day of preschool. I didn't think I had many embellishments until I organized them! I added a bunch of brads and stickers!
I'm working on a 4x6 card for my family album now.

I'm at a crop and just pulled out this little title sticker to use on a page. It is from 2000! Talk about old product! That's adorable! I have a giant My Mind's Eye sticker ready to use for a brother's page!

I'm planning to take part in the Inkie Quill scrapstream. She's upbeat and enjoyable company. If it isn't live, it's no fun for me.
The other day, I finished a page I had sitting on my desk since before school started (I've spent my time diamond painting instead...I apparently can't juggle more than 1 hobby at a time) and immediately pulled out the next week but haven't gotten very far in it, yet. I'm hoping to get it and maybe another week or two scrapped during the stream.
We're finally looking at upgrading our internet. We gave our ISP 10 years to increase their speeds and they've completely ignored our neighborhood (all while sending us monthly emails telling us to upgrade to internet NOT available where we live), so we're switching back to one we never hoped to deal with again after bad experiences in the past. But, the internet speed ought to be 30x what we have now (upload speeds are advertised to be about 300x what we have now). Hopefully this will be my last stream buffering like crazy and constantly falling behind!!

Weather is supposed to be crappy and I've been on a roll, so I hope so! I went through a bag of kits I got at the last Expo and never unpacked and assigned them to different events I have pictures for. I also downloaded my latest photos from my phone and DH's phone... updated my organization spreadsheet... need to back everything up tonight. Looking through all of the pretty kits I have waiting for me has me so inspired! I wish I could work on all of them at once! So anyway- I hope I can have some (guilt-free) time to scrap! I tend to beat myself up for what I *should* be doing instead- haven't started the kids valentines, need to pull old toys and baby equipment for a resale I want to do in March- but I really want to scrap. Hope I can turn off my brain.

Belia I sometimes feel guilt scrapping because there are other chores I should be doing. But there will always be other things that need to get done. It never, ever ends. Give yourself permission to scrap guilt-free. 😁

LisaDV I have a sick kid at home right now too. Hope yours feel well soon. I really, really want to scrap, but between work, a sick kid, and helping the kids with school projects, I don't think I'll get a chance. Question for scrapbookers: Does helping kids with crafting school projects or needing to make costumes (example: for career day) zap your energy/mojo for scrapping? It does for me.

I hope to get some scrapping time late this afternoon and evening. I have photos scheduled for delivery today, plus 3 Hip Kit kits I haven't used yet.
This week has been ridiculously busy.

myboysnme, wow, that's taking me back in time. Belia, I'm impressed with your photo pulling and organization. I generally do my phone. I just did DD's a month or so ago, but still have DH's and DS's to do. I used to have a lot of guilt over taking time too, especially when the kids were small. I would rarely take any time, usually my scrap time was the 5-10 minutes waiting for the washer or dryer to finish. But looking back, it is something I wish I had prioritized more for myself. Please make yourself a Guilt Free Priority. LavenderLayoutLady, I hope your sick kid feels better soon. Does helping kids with crafting school projects or needing to make costumes (example: for career day) zap your energy/mojo for scrapping? I'm not help here. I homeschooled and now they do high school online. Of course, when I do help with a creative project, it just takes up my time and sometimes there is so little of it. I think the peas, take up the most of my scrap time though. Because when I'm here from my desktop and not Tapatalk, I'm in my craft room and could be doing creative things, but want to catch up first with the Peas. mikklynn, I thought as a retiree now, you were suppose to Not be busy all the time?? I hope to also get some time later today. I'm hoping for a shower today. I know I'm a high maintenance woman . At least, the kids tagged teamed instead of having their worst sick time at the same time. If both of them are good, I'm also hoping for an hour or two of card making time.

Belia , I'm impressed with your photo pulling and organization. I generally do my phone. I just did DD's a month or so ago, but still have DH's and DS's to do. Well, I've been binge-watching old seasons of ER (the Clooney years, of course ) so I've been organizing photos and kits while watching TV and keeping warm in bed. Win/win! ER is way too active for me to try and watch while i scrap, though.

LisaDV I am so frustrated by the lack of time, even though I am retired! My MIL has had 3 and 4 appointments every week. I did tell my BIL's wife that he will have to step it up. I am working on getting her to tell me farther in advance and to schedule things on the same day. DH has a flare of colitis happening, too. I do have 2 lunch dates planned this week

mikklynn, you are a good DIL, if it's any consolation. I hope your MIL's appointments can be arranged so it's only a day and your BIL steps up too. Enjoy your lunch dates. mamakoala, I'm glad your son is feeling better. Yay for homeschoolers!! I homeschooled DS from 1st grade through 8th. DD from K-8th. They attend an online Christian school now.

I'm gonna ignore some chores today and try to sit and scrap! But 70* weather has me a bit distracted and I may try to get out for a nice long walk this afternoon.
Lately, allot of my inspiration has been coming from Instagram as well. And of course the old standby is pinterest, I have thousands and thousands of pins that I can always find something to spark interest!

I finally got to finish a layout that's been on my desk for about 2 1/2 weeks. Then used the "scraps" to create another quick page. I used the FJ Rebekah kit. I forgot how easy it was to scrap with a kit! Its funny but I used to grab photos first then dig around to find the right papers. But now I find I scrap better with picking papers first then finding photos. Go figure! Also working on my PL pages for January.
