Not a question but a statement and certainly not fun or funny but one Ex scrapbooker once told me that scrapping is a fat ladies hobby in order to put me down. Sheâs now also an Ex friend as well as an ex scrapper. I âknowâ plenty of all shapes & size people who scrap. Also ages from 12-90 so.... sort of not able to be broad brushed like that.

Recently I renovated my scrapbook room, my hubby said "Would you like me to make you a sign for your new room?" I look at him really weird "umm, no thanks" I was scared to ask what he would make this out of... I think I can handle my own sign with the mile high paper, embellishments, die cut machine and glue that I own!
I thought this was so funny afterwards. He meant well.

I used to fly to scrapbook with friends in a different part of the state. Then one of them came down for a crop closer to me. Her husband was dropping her off and when he saw me, he was so confused because he thought I lived in the same area he did since he saw me so often. He saw me and basically said, "What are you doing here?". It was sooo funny!
Another good one is I am such a slow scrapper (and don't unpack from crops), my friends would notice that the page I was working on was from the last crop. "Wasn't that the page you were working on last time we cropped?"

Probably 15 years ago or more a friend who was not a scrapbooker or a rubber stamper asked me how I got the "color on the stamps". Um....I really wasn't sure what she was asking. She really had no clue about ink pads or even coloring with markers.

This isn't really funny, but my SIL used to scrapbook, and my brother called it "crapbooking." He would give her a lot of grief about getting together with me to go "crapbooking" and always tried to get my DH to join in when we were at a family gathering, etc, which he would not. He values his life too much, and is pretty supportive of me, even tells other people "I always know where to find my pictures." I would tell my brother to put a cork in it and stop but he never listens. My SIL doesn't scrapbook anymore, she says she is just not interested and is too busy, etc..but I always kind of felt that is was because he likened it to crap. Edited to add a funnier thing I just thought about, I told someone once that I scrapbook and they said no way, I was much to young to have such a senior citizen hobby. That was when I was 24 lol. I am now 46 and still going strong! I told her scrapbooking was for people of any age! My husband 'thinks' he is so funny.. he thinks he invented the word 'crapbooking'... OYE. Yeah, I started scrapbooking around age 24, when scrapbooking first came out. My husband would say that Scrapbookers are all sweater vest wearers! đŹ I am also a âcrazy cat ladyâ and have been since a young age. Apparently I have all of the cool hobbies! đ I listen to death metal to even things out!đ

My husband is a police officer and we discovered that gang members also like to scrapbook!đ€ itâs usually gang related stuff. Then he liked to show me the fancy electronic cutters they had, back before I had one! Ironic that the word âscrapâ means to fight, in the gang world.

My husband is a police officer and we discovered that gang members also like to scrapbook OMG!! That is crazy, lol. I know he's a little "controversial" but Hugh Hefner also liked to scrapbook, not sure if he still does but he used to hold the world record for how many scrapbooks he had. www.lifeandstylemag.com/posts/hugh-hefner-world-record-143074/

I'm going to remember that next time someone makes a smart remark about my hobby.

I was in Ikea Shopping with my grown son. He is tall and has a loud carrying voice. I was shopping for furniture for my craft room. He said" I'm not sure what would work best for your crack lab Mom. The funniest part, was that another lady shopping nodded knowingly. :-)

I just heard this little gem from my adult daughter yesterday: In December she was Christmas shopping with her dad. They went to JoAnn Fabrics looking for stocking stuffers for me. She pointed him towards the scrapbooking section then ran down to pick up something else. When she returned he was standing in front of the Fiskar's display and said "Your mom uses lots of these orange things. Should we get her something from here?" I thought it was really cute; I didn't know he paid even THAT much attention!

It would be fun to beat his record but it would nowhere near be as interesting!

My 20 year old son will ask me once or twice a month "what's the scrapbooking drama?". I had previously told him about some of the scrapbooking scandals, like Birdgate and So There, etc. So now he'll fill me in on YouTube drama and then ask me about my hobby

My husband is helping a young man make a wooden shelf for his dad. When he came to the shop he had a beautiful metal work cut-out scene he had done to mount on the front of the shelf.
I asked, "So how did he do the cut work."
Reply: "He used a machine that is actually just a Silhouette on steroids."
Who knew he knew that much about my Silhouette!

To bad he couldn't score you some fancy machines!! Maybe I need to get in a gang to get some cool equipment.. lol I had a neighbor that drove a semi truck for SEI. This was a few years ago. I had no idea who the people were. They live about a block away. I contemplated how I could become friends. I never got that brave or weird to approach them.
