In Tokyo, they have women only cars during rush hour. It is sad that society has to resort to this.

I live how one man is quoted that if the women can have a place to actually sit down and not be harassed, they then have the energy to take care of their families and cook dinner when they get home. I guess everyone wins!
But it does sound like a place where the women travelers can relax and have a little fun.

I love this article. It sounds like this concept was very much needed for a very long time. Whoever thought of it and got it into action is a hero. It's not surprising at all to me that some of the men are bitching about it and all the while the women feel utter relief and joy.

What the f’ing hell! Women out in public? They should in their house and serve their menfolk. ( yes of course I am being sarcastic)
I despise the that women need a a special train.

My daughter and I liked using the women only car on the subway in Mexico City. It's just more comfortable when it's super-crowded and many people are standing.
