I could use some Pea help. I'm on the hunt for a quality bean bag or other seating that is easily moveable. We have a room with a huge TV that's used for both watching TV/playing video games and working out with kettlebells. I need some furniture where teens can sit and watch TV .. and also be able to move said furniture so DH can do his kettlebell routine. I've looked at these bean bags from Wayfair - curious if anyone has experience with this brand or has another option to recommend. Big Joe BB#1 at Wayfair
Big Joe BB#2 at Wayfair
(We do have a sofa in this room, but it's perpendicular to the TV, and it's not an option to move either the sofa or the TV due to the room restrictions.)

We have 2 Chil-lax "bean" bags that we bought from Costco about 5 yrs ago. They are actually filled with some kind of foam. The ones we have are very large and easily fit me and a 10yo. The kids can move them around easily. We have never had any "leaking". They do have removable covers (micro fiber) but I have never washed them. The filler is in a separate fabric sac inside the cover. We have been very happy with them in our playroom. The only other furniture in there are a few small coffee tables and book shelves/storage.

What about inflatable chairs and sofas? Comfy ones with the velvety surface. They are easy to move, you can just pile them on the sofa to get them out of the way. And easier to store for longer term if you need to. Look at Intex inflatable sofas and chairs on Amazon. They get pretty good reviews. You can even find chairs and couches that turn into a bed if that is something you have need of.

I bought my son a Big Joe for his college dorm room. When he decided to live at home the next year, I told him to bring Big Joe back for our family room. He has been in this room since 2016 and we all love him. We have a big puffy couch and recliners in this room and Joe gets used before all of the seats are taken up. Our Joe was a cheaper version at Sams Club, but he is still puffy and comfy and well used. If no one is in it, the dog also chooses that space as her personal spot.
My son is looking to buy a house and is on the hunt for his own Joe.

I made my own bean bags from upholstery fabric. Double bagged with opposite zippers and straps over the zipper part to keep it from coming undone. Never had a leak.

Thanks caangel - I will check out Costco and see what they have. katlaw - we have dogs who like to pounce and snuggle ... would inflatable furniture stand up to dog nails? 950nancy - thanks for your input on the Big Joe. (It amuses me that you refer to the furniture by name, so in my mind that's an extra star, lol). Good luck to your son with identifying a replacement Joe. Hope the original Joe doesn't feel like your DS is cheating on him, lol

We splurged and bought a Love Sac for my son when he was 8. He is now 23 and this bean bag went from Connecticut to Wisconsin for college and is now in an apartment living room. It is the seat of choice for everyone! it has held up with zero issues. It does come with a lifetime warranty but we have not needed anything. Ours is 6' and can seat multiple people. My BIL loved it and bought 2 smaller ones for his boys rooms. He got a deal through Costco for his. They are expensive but for all the years of use it turns out it was worth it!

I think they may have a different brand now.

I just saw a big display for Lovesac at Costco last night, so it might be on promo right now. They have a schedule for when it will be where on their website. The beanbags looked really nice and are really big.
A year ago at Christmas I got my DD a kid sized Big Joe beanbag chair that has arms and a back for a smoking hot deal. In hindsight for what I paid ($20) I probably should have bought a couple more to take to the lake. The outside covering is more like durable, thick nylon and has held up really well. It does seem like the beans inside (it has the bigger ones) have smashed down some over time (which is probably to be expected) so at some point I want to get another bag of those beans from JoAnn’s to put in it to fluff it up again.
A while back, I bought a memory foam filled beanbag like chair from Costco for about $60 delivered. It has a soft plush cover that is removable for washing. It’s big enough for one person to sit on if you have it propped up vertically, or two people can sit on it horizontally but it has less of a back rest that way. I really like it and again wish I would have bought an extra one or two at that price, but it is super heavy (35# or so) and really kind of hard to move around due to the size of it and its floppy bulkiness. But the memory foam really does make for a comfortable, cozy place to sit.

Several years ago I bought DSO an awesome PIMP bean bag chair and ottoman from Costco: PIMP bean bag
It's heavy duty and super comfortable. I would never get a normal round one after having one of these that's got a bit more structure to it.
Although looking at the photo, ours probably needs to be topped up with some more beans. This is what it's supposed to look like:
