I used to subscribe to the PL and regular scrapbook kits back in the day at Studio Calico, but we know how that turned out; I had a Planner Society sub at some point, but it was a little frilly for me, and I had a Scraptastic sub, but they turned unreliable and then died. I sub now to Ali Edwards -- just the story kit, not the stamp -- but it's not really that helpful for full-page scrapbooking, and I'm not always a fan of the colors.
Are there any subs left out there that are nice and reliable? I'd ideally like something in the vein of the old Studio Calico kits -- a stamp, some papers, and some embellishments, not too cutesy. I rarely get to any store with scrapbooking products, so even if they use products that were released a few months ago, it's not like I'd know the difference.

My current subs are Cocoa Daisy and Scrap Room. I really like them both for different reasons. Scrap Room doesn’t have stamps. It’s more of a sample of the newer collections that are released. Cocoa Daisy is all exclusive. There is a pocket card sub option and a TN sub option. I get both because I really like the style. There are papers, stamps, alpha stickers, and embellishments in the kits.

I sub to the Cocoa Daisy pocket kit. I really like it, but wonder if it would be too "extra" for your taste. My only complaint is that the add-ons sell out really fast, and I can't be bothered to set a timer to order the add ons. They used to have a 12x12 kit, but I don't see that on the site at the moment. Another option you might look into is The Wild Hare Kits - they customize your kit around your personal taste, including style and the types of product you do (and don't) want to receive. They offer both a "petite" kit and a "deluxe" kit. I've not tried them, so I don't have any first hand experience. IG Wild Hare Kits
If you do order from Wild Hare, I'd love to know what you think!

I love Felicity Jane. The style of the kits goes well with my style, and it’s one of the few 12x12 scrapbook kits left.

I’ve stopped doing subs and just use that budget allotment for what I want. I can’t find a sub I like, but I loved it in the past where someone would put it all together for me!

You might look at Hip Kits. I did Felicity Jane for a while and liked it but wanted a change after a while. I did Wild Hare Kits once and didn't like it. Shipping was high, products were a mix of older stuff and new, and I don't know, I just didn't get anything I loved. I ended up donating most of it. Other people seem to enjoy it though, so it could just be me. I think it's a cool concept. I also tried out Clique Kits and some months I loved (especially when they got in products that are from Europe) and then some months it just wasn't for me.

I started with Scraptastic kit club and then on to FJ. I quit that and moved on to Hip Kit Club. They have an amazing support system of designers who are prolific on YT. Free cut files and, at times, gorgeous exclusive products designed by the owner and Kim Watson. I love Pink Fresh, Pink Paislee and AC products so this is the perfect club for me!

I am having a hard time figuring the site or social media out. Yes, they are. The upcoming kit is called Bailey. The owner does a great mix of classic patterns and on trend products and her design team is fantastic. The packaging is really pretty and her customer service has been excellent when I’ve contacted her.

I was also a Felicity Jane fan. It has the paper, embellishments, and a stamp. It is pretty cutesy though. The site is hard to manage because the kits are organized by the dolls names rather than date or type.

I loved my Felicity Jane kits. I ended up combining them all and used much more of the product. I stopped subbing when I had too many kits stacked up.
I am currently subscribing to Hip Kit. I have received 3 kits and I love them.

I loved FJ but switched to HipKit this year for something different. I think both are great. I tried a petite kit from Wild Hare, I wasn’t thrilled. They did great selecting product according to my wants, but it was skimpy in my opinion and most I already have. Nothing exclusive or special. Maybe because I usually by sale and Tuesday Morning a lot. I’ve heard of Clique kits, not sure if Citrus Twist is around, I don’t think they do 12x12 either. My Creative Scrapbook I think is still around. Definitely not a SC vibe though. There’s Freckled Fawn for kits- for embellies. They run sales often enough. Cocoa Daisy everyone seems to love. I find the rules or however she does things is so asinine so I don’t even bother. I’ve tried looking at past kits or some kind of shopping and I can’t figure that website out.

It did feel skimpy. I do Citrus Twist now, but it's more pocket pages & Traveler's Notebook size. I like the CT's style a lot & it includes 6x8 papers. Most of it is exclusive and it has more of a fresh feel to me than some of the other options. 100% agree on Cocoa Daisy. Way, way too much work. I do occasionally buy digital products from "Little Butterfly Wings" on the Lilly pad. I've heard it's the same designer.

The Felicity Jane products are excellent quality. It's either your style or it isn't, though. It's very consistent in style. I usually get kits or individual stuff on sale there. I've never subscribed, but I have a formidable FJ stash. My favorite thing they have are the teeny tiny paper clips, go figure.
I do currently subscribe to Cocoa Daisy. I get the travelers notebook memory keeping kit and the planner add-on kit because that's usually where the cute stuff is. I may pause my subs for a little while after this next month, though. I like to mix things up.

Checking out all these options and calculating shipping costs in addition to a sub (I looked at a PL style of kit) and it seems like Cocoa Daisy is the most expensive. $30.99/kit and $15.50 for shipping to Canada. SC has prices of $27.99/kit (6 month sub) and $3 shipping to Canada? Not sure I'm reading that right.

I took forever to talk myself into Freckled Fawn (embellishment kits) and two months later they stopped selling kits... I also was looking at Cheeky Studio which seems to have disappeared off the face of the internet. I will not be subscribing to any kits, so you are welcome Peaworld

I ended my sub because I SB pretty flat and a lot of their embellishments were thick (but nice!)

Super embarrassed about it, but I have ended up re-subscribing to the Documenter kit at Studio Calico. I have pledged to myself that I am simply not going to go on there at release or otherwise involve myself in their shenanigans.
I am still waffling on an actual SB kit. I actually used to shop at the store of the Hip Kit lady when she had a bricks-and-mortar in the burbs here, and I *loved* her store -- I am not wild about the last few kits shown on her site. Cocoa Daisy is really nice, but not really my style -- same with For The Boys. I am probably going to order one Felicity Jane kit and see what I think -- I really like the papers I see online, but it's hard to get a sense of the embellishments.
Anyhow, thank you all. I have not really scrapbooked much in the past few years; this is going to sound silly, but I feel like I enjoyed my daily life more when I did, and that it would be good for me to get back into it.

Don't feel bad! I'm considering the SC DK too! It will cost me the same as AE's Story stamp and I'll have more to play with.

Have fun documenting! I found that 12x12 was too much work/space for me, and pocket albums are better for specific things but for random everyday life, I use travelers notebooks. That evolved into a monthly booklet and I love it. I hope you can get some joy, no matter who makes the kit! I find myself taking more photos and enjoying our activities more. I know that’s silly, but it’s like reliving it when I document it!

I love FJ paper. Hands down, I have more FJ that any other brand. Very rarely do I buy full kits from her as I think they are pricey. So I usually will buy 2-3 months worth of paper and embellies at a time to save on shipping.
