My apologies for posting this late. I just barely saw grammadee’s private message about posting the card challenge here and not exclusively on the Stamping/Cardmaking board. The challenge is to make a Valentine card for a friend instead of a lover, with one or more hearts, but with a non-mushy sentiment. It does not need to say, "Happy Valentine's Day" unless you want it to. If you prefer to do a scrapbook layout, adapt the card challenge as best you can. For all of you who are part of a challenge group, add a bonus point if you use a stamp set you have never used before, or one that you have not used for more than a year.

Thanks, scrapnnana! Great challenge! Love your card, and hope to make some Palentines on Friday! If this looks familiar to some of you, I had provided a link to scrapnnana's post yesterday. I have since deleted my post in this board.

I LOVE that card scrapnnana! Is that a cut file? I am doing a valentine card exchange with some friend next week and just started the cards. I think they will work great for this challenge!

I get together with a group of ladies once a month and share what we have scrapbooked over the month. We also give challenges for the coming month. This month instead of a challenge we decided to make Valentines for each other to swap. So this worked perfectly with this challenge! I used Memory Box Dies and did some love but since I am swapping with friends made some kindness words.

Love your Palentines, lynnek! The grey is a colour I might not have thought to use, but it provides a great background for the words and butterflies to pop! Very pretty, and FUN cards!

Finished these this morning for a couple of little guys who *may* be here later today. Got the Palentine vibe, but not the twist. valentine fox by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

too late for this year's valentine's but I'll tuck away and send to my bestie next year - after I fix the sentiment, sigh (nevermind - the card is straight - the scanning isn't)
