I have an Amazon Fresh cart with in-stock items in it. Amazon won’t let me order it because they have no delivery windows/appointments available for my area (Metro DC area, so NOT rural) for the next 3 days, and there is no option to select a time further out.
So, for those who keep saying, “Amazon delivery is always available, so don’t worry about stocking your pantry,” it just isn’t true.

Same thing here. Also, I checked availability for both curbside pickup and delivery from my HEB and Central Market. The earliest pickup for either one is March 24, one week from today.

I’ve been trying for more than a week.
I have heard they reset the times at midnight and if you can stay up that late, folks in my area have reported getting delivery slots, although days out.

If you have Instacart, try them. Right now they’re showing delivery from my local market within the next 5 hours, and pickup openings after 7pm tonight. Luckily i don’t need anything right now. Good luck ladies!

I ordered my prime pantry from Amazon last week, got a notice to check it and they gave the delivery date over the weekend, and last night I looked and a few items I ordered are now not coming and my delivery got pushed back another day.

Good luck ladies! I just placed an order with the one local chain that has what I want in stock, but the earliest delivery date is MARCH 27! So, my delivery is 10 days out. 10 days. We have enough to get us through until then - it isn’t an emergency. Just lunch food that my boys are eating through rapidly - normally they are having lunch at school. I feel awful for people who are in need and want to socially distance and have been told that grocery store delivery would be readily available for when they need items.

I've heard that Amazon has suspended all deliveries except for medical things.... Not here in the USA. I just received some fishing items from Amazon - we will be doing a lot of fishing in the next couple of months. Amazon just announced this morning that they are hiring 1000 new people to help with increased demand - it was being talked about when I turned on CNN this morning.

My Mom's order on Friday was cancelled from the local grocery. They told her they didn't have enough shoppers through Insacart. She was told they would send it today, however, then got notice this morning that they couldn't fulfill it. So she's trying various other places. If not, I'm going shopping for her after work.
This is a rapidly developing nightmare.

With the 100,000 jobs at Amazon there is also people needed at our grocery store (King Soopers/Kroger).. at least in Colorado they are really amping up and needing people. I would even have tried to do a little part time on the side, but with my 11 year old home and DH is traveling, I hate to leave her home alone longer than necessary. Poor thing. I am hoping some of these waitstaff people and others who don't have a choice are able to get one of these jobs.

We don't have Amazon Fresh (or Now or any same-day options) here but in the last few days all 3 of my deliveries have been late....not because the shipping is taking longer but b/c they haven't shipped them yet. Not a big deal, these aren't urgent items but still..... I just checked Wal-mart's pick up and they have no options for today, only 1 option for tomorrow (and it's at like 7pm) and they're limiting everything to two of each item That's means only 2 2liters of Coke Zero....that is not enough

I tried 3x last week to get orders from Walmart. Once delivery and two pickup. All three were canceled. That prompted me to have to go deal w/the crazy masses there on Saturday. Unfortunately, Walmart is the only option for us since our area is pretty rural. I can go about 30 minutes away to get to other grocery stores, but time spent in the car -vs- dealing with the crazies? Crazies won.
I REALLY hope my Amazon order that I placed this morning isn't going to be held until April. Found out this morning that as of tomorrow DSs daycare is closing, except for emergency care. So I will be attempting to work from home with a crazy almost 3 year old. So I ordered some fun sensory things to pull out as needed. As it is, it isn't scheduled to be delivered until Saturday.

I just place an order for delivery at the local grocery store. It's my first time using the service. I went on to get set up and saw the note at the top, order now for a Sunday delivery/pick up time. I placed my order. Fingers crossed. It contains milk and eggs which I will need next week.

Safeway and Albertsons across WA state are trying to find thousands of workers right now to meet demands. I'm really hoping this will help ease the burden of those who have lost their jobs right now due to closures and they can easily move into these jobs so they have some income right away.

I got on HEB to get curbside on Friday, I think - maybe Saturday - and could only get Wednesday pick up. Then I thought I best get in line and opened curbside up again and got a Tuesday evening time slot (tonight). Not sure how much of my order I will get. I'm prepared to run out later in the week and try my luck at other stores. If I don't have any luck, I'll just on curbside again and just keep adding to my order and hope for the best. Personally, hubs and I will be fine. I just find I am missing one or two things to cook with but my neighborhood FB is fantastic at helping out if you need something.

Not sure how much of my order I will get. I just came in from a trip to the Bunker Hill store. They were out of all paper products, cleaning products, rice, pasta, soups. It will vary by store, but if any of those items are on your list, don't get your hopes up.

I did grocery pick up from Wal-Mart on Sunday & of 35 items I ordered 7 were out of stock and 7 were substituted & 1 missing. All items were food, not cleaning supplies or toilet paper. Now you can't even get grocery pick up anymore.
