I started to list my favorites and it was like... every single song. But... Can I be honest and not get killed? The only one I don’t really like is Hurricane. I love everything else. And I absolutely know LMM is a genius and mega talented and the cutest most adorable dude on the planet... but his singing voice isn’t super strong and that song is just... not my favorite. I KNOW HE IS A MUSICAL GENIUS AND I LOVE HIM. Don’t hurt me. I agree too. What he doesn’t have in singing voice, LMM does have in acting ability/ability to get across attitude in his singing. In the cast that I saw, the person playing Hamilton was my least favorite of the cast - he was somewhat bland compared to Lin-Manuel. The people playing Washington and Burr were amazing though. And Eliza. I love all the songs written for Eliza.

You’ll Be Back is my favorite song by far! I sing it at the top of my lungs with a horrible English accent when it comes on in the car!
After that, I’m not sure I can pick a favorite!!

Holy cow, just make me pick my favorite child!!
Let's see, if I had to pick my favorite(s) it would be Burn and then Quiet Uptown. I would then go with Yorktown.

I am bad with titles, but number 8 on disc one. I find if I listen to the soundtrack too often though I can t sleep because the music is going through my head all night long. I love it so much though, and Lin Manuel Miranda is just about a near perfect person.

My top three are “Wait For It”, “Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down)”, and “What’d I Miss”. Daveed Diggs is the best! Was hoping to see it one more time in SF before the tour ended but I think it’s done now.

Was hoping to see it one more time in SF before the tour ended but I think it’s done now. We had tickets to see Jesus Christ Superstar next month at the Kennedy Center. Needless to say, it was cancelled. I am going to use the credit for our tickets to purchase Hamilton tickets to see it again in September- hopefully the world still won’t be turned upside down then. 😀

Love King George the best! I got four tix in last year's public sale at the Kennedy Center. Gave them to my kids and spouses. This year I have tix for DH and I! In September. Here's hoping we get to go. PBS often shows Hamilton's America during pledge weeks. It's a great documentary about LMM's journey through the development of the play. It includes many interviews with the original cast and lots of scenes from the original Broadway show.

I especially enjoy the footage of the cast performing at the White House. I went ahead this evening and used my Kennedy Center credit towards a pair of tickets 🎫 for Wednesday, September 9! I had to drive to Philadelphia to see it last year, and then spend the night. It will be nice to see it at home this time.

I do not like Dear Theodosia!
My favorites are Helpless, Satisfied - and I LOVE Kelly Clarksons version of It’s Quiet Uptown.

All of them!! And this thread reminds me of Compwalla and how she loved Hamilton so much. She was so happy that her family saw it on Broadway:)

She was so happy that her family saw it on Broadway:) Her love of the show made me aware of it and the reason we booked tickets to see it. I can't pick one, there seems to a different song for different moods. I'll just pick the album! I will admit Quiet Uptown jumped in my head first.

It's a hip hop musical about Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers who was the Treasury Secretary in the new nation. He was a gifted writer and an interesting character at a very interesting time. This was the performance of the first song in the White House years ago m.youtube.com/watch?v=WNFf7nMIGnE

It’s Quiet Uptown. I heard it the first time the day after my best friend died. All these eerie songs kept coming up on my satellite radio that seemed like she was talking to me. It’s Quiet Uptown came up and I ugly cried in my car. The next song was Smile. Very spooky.

Dear Theodosia, It’s Quiet Uptown, Helpless, The Schuyler Sisters, One Last Time ... Oh was I supposed to pick one? 😂 You rebel, you! They are all great. I can’t wait for Miranda’s musical movie - In the Heights - coming out this summer. We saw In the Heights in a traveling production and it was wonderful. My favorite songs though are It's Quiet Uptown, Burn, Helpless and The Schuyler Sisters.

I've never seen it.. How can I watch?
I watched it this morning on Youtube. Go there, search for Hamilton Musical. Go watch it before it is pulled.

“Wait For It” is DH’s and my overall favorite. I find myself singing “Helpless” in my head most often. And I lose it in the theater every time I hear “It’s Quiet Uptown” and don’t listen to it outside the theater, as beautiful as it is.

My family has seen it six times and we have tickets to see it again this summer. Fingers crossed that still happens.
I don’t know if I can pick a favorite, but things that make me smile are my youngest DS perfectly rapping Guns and Ships with his little French accent and oldest DS playing Dear Theodosia on the piano.
We don’t listen to Act 2 outside the theatre because I sob all the way from Philip’s death to the end.

Yes. All of them. (My son is standing here and he says Dear Theodosia.)
And I think everyone probably agrees about LMM’s voice. It’s just not something we talk about.
