Our restaurants are open for 50% capacity, I think. But if we aren't cooking at home, we do delivery or curbside pickup. VERY occasionally we will eat outside, as long as the distance is good.

No.
I'm even hesitant to do patio dining yet. Indoors? Nope.
Which, I'm going to be thrown into the petri dish of school in just a few weeks, so I guess...whatever, but still. I'm minimizing my exposure as much as possible knowing that's likely coming.

Yes, have been for a few weeks. All the restaurants I have been to have been very empty(ish). All seating is far apart (six feet). Haven't run into any crowds whatsoever. Everyone is masked up until they are seated. And wait staff have always been masked up.
Edited to add, there are usually no menus (you scan your phone to a bar code thing) or it is a paper menu they throw away. There are no condiments or anything on the tables except for those electric pay things. Any condiment has been limited to take out type stuff, like ketchup, salt/pepper packaging. One restaurant (I can't remember which) would not lean over to serve food, she stood back and passed us our food. But that was once. But I would say it's been a much cleaner environment.

No. Our restaurants had just started to open and we had our book club meeting planned for last Wed, then two days before our numbers skyrocketed and we went into lockdown again on Wed midnight. Technically we could have still eaten out - but obviously it was safer to stay home and do a Zoom meeting again. I was really looking forward to it too!
The last time I ate at a restaurant was early March.

NJ only has outdoor dining. They lifted the restriction for like a day and put it back in place. I’ve done outdoor a couple times. Not in a hurry to dine indoors.

Our indoor dining isn't open yet, and our patios only recently opened. We don't even really do take-out- occasional falafel wraps or Indian.
I have selfishly been pretty good about restaurants being closed. I have a lot of anxiety about eating at restaurants regularly, but my husband loves them, so I tend to suffer through them more than I would care too. It's been a little nice that they haven't been an option :sheepish:

No, I haven't eaten inside a restaurant since March. Haven't done any outdoor dining either. I will do takeout/curbside pickup for meals which we usually do for dinner for 1x per week. I do miss eating in a restaurant, but don't feel comfortable yet.

We are not eating indoors right now. We’ve eaten at a restaurant once, and we sat outside. It was awesome.
We did just record an episode of our podcast inside a hard cider pub though. It was almost completely empty, and staff wore masks the entire time. I thought we were going to be outside but they said inside when we got there. I felt pretty comfy, and we were able to keep people apart so that was good. (Also they had amazing hard cider there! I don’t usually like cider, but this was freaking delicious!)

Nope!
Indoor dining is shut down again in my area. You can eat outdoors if it is available. Many places have tables set up on sidewalks and in parking lots. But, I still haven’t eaten at a restaurant since March. We do get take out.

No it’s not allowed here. I’ve eaten outdoors a few times. But I think even outdoor dining is now not allowed either.

Nope. I won't be eating indoors at a restaurant until there is a reliable vaccine or a cure.
I rarely ate in restaurants before covid, it's just not a risk I'm willing to take, especially in a state that's rivaling Florida in case increases.

No. And we are in Belgium where our cases are much, much fewer than in the US. DD and DH went to lunch yesterday, but they ate on an open terrace. The weather has been beautiful here and it’s frequently rainy, especially in the winter. So we would probably have chosen outdoor seating anyway, just to soak up the sun.

Yes, we are eating out, but only on patios. Only three times have we eaten inside, and there was absolutely no one within 15 ft of us. Our restaurants are at 50% capacity right now.

Our restaurants have been opened for reduced capacity indoor seating since mid June. We vacationed are a lake in June and ate on a patio. We haven’t yet eaten on a patio in the city. My sister is traveling from the US here in Aug and I made a patio reservation at one of her fav restaurants.
I’m ready to eat on a patio in the city. I just haven’t needed to yet. Ordering in has been fine.
There are many people eating inside restaurants here now. When I walk by I see them. Everyone looks fine and happy. I just won’t be doing it.

We have once two weeks ago. We were going to do take out but the restaurant was open for dine in. There were three couples eating inside a seafood restaurant. The line for take out was much more crowded/close together.

I ate outdoors twice when we were caught outside doing necessary errands. Still we are ordering takeout once or twice a week. Still prefer this option to eating outdoors. Many places still don’t have enough space to accommodate too many people outdoors. No indoor dining in NYC yet.

No. Patios are open with tables set at an appropriate distance but indoor dining is still prohibited. Personally, I won't do either for a while yet.
To give some perspective, our province tested 21,000 people yesterday resulting in only 116 new cases.

No, we have not eaten in or out on the patio. I don’t think we will eat inside a restaurant for many months or until next year.

No, I’m not comfortable doing that at this time. I will do curbside or delivery, but have not even done patio dining. I’m in Illinois where both indoor (limited number) and outdoor are allowed.
Our local numbers are going up, and I have been doing the shopping for my brother to keep him safer as he’s extremely high risk and had surgery in June. Wasn’t going to risk him getting it, and now I’m quarantined for the next two days as I just had my own pre-operative Covid test this morning.
I live right across the river from Iowa, which opened restaurant dining before Illinois did. Before that, the positive cases were usually higher each day in my county than in the closest Iowa county. Ours have been much higher than they were, but the Iowa side number is now usually higher yet. With schools set to open in just a few weeks, I don’t see myself choosing to eat at a restaurant any time soon.

No, nothing is open for inside dining, just patios so far. Our province is going to announce stage 3 reopening details today which will include eating inside. Even once it is allowed I won't be rushing to do it. We have ordered local takeout every week since early April but have only dined out on a patio once. Locally, We have 0.4% positivity in the community rate and masks are mandatory for any indoor space so the risk is low but I'm still good with takeout. Our whole country only had 281 new cases as of yesterday. I can't imagine dealing with some of the numbers some of your states are. I suspect we all wish we were Canadians right about now! I'm so proud of my home country and PM Trudeau for doing such a great job handling the pandemic! I live in California and there is no way I would eat in at a restaurant. That was an option for a couple of weeks but our numbers spiked and the people crowding around outside the restaurants, many without masks, was alarming. We do get take out now. For the first couple of months I wasn't even comfortable doing that. mom2jnk - thanks for the article and this thread!

Nope and our county just rescinded the indoors allowance as we've been put back on our state watch list because (surprise!) our numbers are going up. We continue to get pick-up or delivery about once a week for a break.

I love teachers and I pray you will all be safe!

Yes, I do believe that this is something that we all need to decide for ourselves, based upon our level of comfort and where we live. Sometimes I feel like I am too cautious about my activities, so I like to consider others' perspectives too.

No. I haven’t been inside a restaurant since late February. We have done drive thru from a taco shop a few times but that’s it.
