We have 4 full bathrooms here, and I use whichever is closest. As you get older, proximity is of utmost importance.

Interesting to see this post today. I just bought a new house with two bathrooms. I'm sure I'll almost only use the one in the master bedroom, but while painting today I used the other, and it felt weird - even though I haven't moved in yet!

We have two full bathrooms - one on the main floor and one upstairs with the bedrooms. We all use the main floor one most of the time and we use that shower/bath too. I wish we at least another 1/2 bath on the main floor.

We have 4.5..... the half is on the main floor for guests, the other four full baths are off the four bedrooms upstairs. Two of the bathrooms are rarely used....the one in my craftroom is rarely used and I have to remind myself to flush the toilet and use the sink to keep the plumbing good and the one off our guest room is only used when company is in town. DS has one also but he's responsible for cleaning that one and then we have our master bathroom....so most of the time I only have 2.5 to worry about cleaning.

DH and I use both our half bath on the main floor and our full bath on the second floor. Which ever one is available to where we are.

We usually use only the one in our bedroom, but I will use the "kids" bathroom from time to time as it is closer, or if the other person is using the main bathroom. And the kids have grown and are no longer at home.

I use the main bathroom and my kids use their bathroom exclusively. We are creatures of habit whereas my husband will use whatever's open.

We have a 2 story house with a half bathroom downstairs and 2 full bathrooms upstairs. One for the kids, the other being the master bathroom.
If I am downstairs, I use the downstairs bathroom. If I am upstairs, I use the master bathroom.
I use which ever is closest.

I have just one right now - on the second floor with the bedrooms... I'm putting a second one in the basement and I just realized I'm weirdly excited about having a choice...lol Ideally, the upstairs one will be all mine and the basement one will be for guests... I'm not sure how easy it will be to 'teach' my family that when they visit the guest/their bathroom is downstairs, but I love the idea of having privacy (aka no reason to clean four extra rooms and a hallway), when they call to say they're in the neighbourhood and are going to stop by...lol

We have a half bath on the first floor, and the master bath and another full bath on the second floor. If I am downstairs, I use the bathroom there. If I'm upstairs I most often use the master bath but if I am in my craft room/guest room or my computer room I will use the hall bathroom. It's good to use it fairly regularly and I also periodically run the tub/shower tap for a bit just to keep it from getting air in the system.

We have 2 but I only use one. The one I use the toilet is higher & easier to get off without my hips hurting.

We have three full bathrooms and I will pee in any of the three depending on where I am in the house. When nature calls otherwise, I head to my bedroom bathroom for the reading material and wet wipes!

I have a SMALL house but all 3 bedrooms have a full bath. One is real cramped but it is a full bath. But it is the one I like the best! Especially in the winter because it is the warmest when taking a shower.
The bathroom off the craft room, I use it if I'm in or close to the craft room. It only has a regular bathtub, no shower. I did take a couple of baths in it one time when my bathtub had a problem. If I'm on the computer, I use the blue bathroom (has blue fixtures) and like to shower in that bathroom in the summer. So, I use all three but wish the space in this house wasn't wasted on the third bathroom.

My husband exclusively used the bathroom downstairs, even in the middle of the night. I'll use whichever one (master or downstairs), except my son's bathroom. He is the only one that uses it. My youngest exclusively uses the downstairs one, even if he's upstairs in his room.

We have three, and all of us use them all. Our main floor 3/4 bath gets used the most, but we also have a private en suite and another main bath on our second floor. I wish I had one in the basement where my studio is, mostly because it's a pain to have to run upstairs every time I need to wash paint, ink, glue or something else messy off of my hands.

We have 4 - an en suite master bath, another on the second floor that the kids mainly use, the powder room on the first floor and one in the basement. I use which ever one I am closest too when I need to go.

We have three, and I use whichever one is closest. I like the idea from this poster, but unfortunately we don't have enough company for this to be really necessary!

Small house, one bathroom and in my dreams I would have my own bathroom with a combination lock. I so want a bathroom just for me, no men allowed.

There will be a time when you must use the closest.... no choice!!! Interestingly enough I have Crohn's Disease and have many, many bathroom emergencies but even then I sprint past the main bathroom and use only mine. Sometimes with my coat still on, my purse slung over my shoulder and a shopping bag in my hands.

I get it. We have assigned bathrooms in our house for various reasons. So yes my answer is for sure a yes! We have 2 full and 1 half. One ds has use of his own private bathroom, one ds has use of 1/2 bath or our bathroom if he is about to bath, dh and I use our bathroom in our bedroom.

I have 3 - one in the hallway, the master bath and one in the basement. I pretty much always use the master, DH uses the hallway. DS uses the basement. It's almost like we each have our own, except DH showers in "my" bathroom!

I understand habits I have lots of those....but when it comes to bathrooms we use whatever is close. Our house is 3 stories so pick what's close and go. I have thought about keeping the kids out of the formal powder bath so it could stay guest ready-but this is their home too and life is too short to worry about that. They all get cleaned weekly.

I hadn't even thought this through until your question, but for me it about energy-saving. The main bathroom is the only one with natural daylight, so during the day I use that one to save turning on the light and fan in either of the others. DH "takes his newspaper" into one with a fan. After dark it will be the closest.

We have 4 and I'll use whatever's closest...except the boys bathroom. It's got to be an insane emergency for me to use their bathroom because no matter how often I clean it, it just feels gross. I have three girls, and I try to avoid their bathroom as much as possible!

We have five - three in the main portion of the house, one in our bonus room above the garage and one in DH's workshop/garage. I almost exclusively use the one in our master bath. In a pinch I will use one of the others, but probably 98% of the time I use "mine". In a house full of guys it the only one I trust (LOL), even though I'm the main person cleaning all of them. How stupid is that?
