I had a week of furlough in June. I'm on another week of furlough this week. Who knows if we'll have another in the fourth quarter. I'm supposed to be able to get unemployment for the two weeks. I haven't seen anything on the week in June. Who knows if I'll get it!

I typed out a long response and it went poof. Suffice to say those of you bitching about that bonus while my sister tries to survive on $118 per week can suck it. Just suck it. What assholes. I hope karma gets you. I am sorry for the hardships your sister is dealing with. Has she looked into the various aid programs available in her area? Perhaps the Peas could offer possible support and suggestions for her to look into. I don’t think anyone here is negating the impact of the pandemic on anyone. The post just asked what employers we’re doing to help their companies survive. The Peas have a history of being very caring and giving. While I know you are angry about your sister’s situation (as would any of us be)no one here was involved in that. We are here to support and I hope we can help if you reach out. During tough times we need to stick together not tear each other down because our circumstances are different than yours. I hope karma turns a loving eye on both you and your sister.

My husband has all of the office/cubicle employees work from home (only a few come in). The bottom floor is manufacturing and they do go to work. If anyone travels anywhere, they must stay home for 2 weeks. Even though he is sometimes the only one on his floor, he still had to work from home for 2 weeks after our trip. They have no clients in the office and no travel (unless it's essential). He said that most engineering firms he deals with are all working remotely through the end of the year.

My husband has been working from home since March. The people in manufacturing go in a few at a time and they have their temps taken at the door. If and when anyone exhibits symptoms or has a temp, they have made a deal with a doctor to be able to go immediately for a test.
my husband is pushing to work at home at least until December.
