Can boards have sub-boards?
I'm just wondering if it is possible for the Recipes board to have "sub-boards" for say: Mains, Baking, Desserts, Sides, Soups etc. There would also have to be a Miscellaneous for recipes like the fabulous-sounding CheleOh's Limocello that annie posted.

If we have sub boards for the recipe board they should go according to like cookbooks, Main Dishes, Side Dishes, Soups, Baking, Desserts, and an Other for all the weird stuff us peas like lol

Ok folks, I've moved this thread across from the Support section, as it is most relevant here.
Suggested sub-boards so far:
Mains
Sides
Salads
Soups
Desserts
Baking
Drinks
Other/Miscellaneous
Everyone happy with these choices? Any obvious omissions that need to be added?
If we add the sub-boards for recipes, any more general recipe discussion (eg requests) could then be kept in the main board.

Maybe put sides and soups together. I don't know if we need both baking and desserts. I realize some dinners are also baked so maybe just desserts and then the baked items go into wherever else they fall.

I would like it if the sides and soups sections were kept separate. They are very different things. I do think that baking and desserts could just be one category though. I can't think of much baking that's not a dessert. |

What about a slow cooker subgroup?
I would maybe do a desserts and breads/muffins? I wouldn't have baking and desserts, I don't think

I agree. I bake chicken, a roast or lasagna but I would never look in the baking category for any of these. In my mind, baking=desserts.

I have a couple recipe threads saved that I would put there. I think they would just get lost in the individual boards over time. I have the pumpkin recipe thread which has desserts, pasta and side dish recipes and also the "give a recipe you get rave reviews on" which has all categories and is an awesome thread. I wouldn't be able to put either of these on an individual specific sub-board. I do like the slow cooker suggestion and also a lot of peas do the OMAC. Once a month cooking. Humm. what about a non-food recipe board. I have recipes for silly-putty, play-dough, magic crystals, soap, salt-dough for Xmas ornaments, natural bug repellant, dog biscuits, hair products, etc... |

If you're still looking for sub-board suggestions, I think a Breakfast category would be great. We had so many breakfast casserole threads, baked French toast, etc. Thank you, fairy podmother. |
