Yes. I'm making some Ranch Chex Mix for DH's office (9 people). I'll be packaging it up in individual baggies. They are all essential workers and have been together since March. I told him if someone chooses to throw out his/her bag, my feelings wouldn't be hurt. To each his own.

Yes I am making biscotti for 6 or 7 family and friends, whom we all know. I made a batch last week and a test and it is delicious!

I voted yes because I’m sharing some treats with my parents and my son who recently moved into his new place. They are in our bubble so it will be okay. All my friends and extended family that I bake for will have to wait until next year.

No and I'm not accepting any, either.

It’s my understanding that it’s a fairly low-risk activity, as long as the packaging is handled well. We are willing to do some very low risk things (well distanced visitations of a few people outside) in order to spend time with people we love. But, for us, eating food prepared by others isn’t worth risk.

I have never been a baker and giver of holiday bake goods. I have been an eater of many holiday baked goods over the years . Especially if there is chocolate fudge that someone is sharing. This year, I will be saying no thank you to all baked good offerings. But, if someone gives me a box of unopened store bought chocolates....I'm eating all but the coconut ones . I really like the boxes that have the flavor charts.

I'm giving smallish bags of Lindor truffles instead. For a few reasons we aren't doing much, if any baking, this year and I picked up some Lindor truffles yesterday thinking I might use them for a couple gifts bags for single friends. It is avoiding the social aspect of dropping things off. This is a big part of why we are saying no to sharing this year. I'm not even sure if I'm sharing with my husband!!

Yes, and I’m the one who bailed on the cookie exchange thread. I bailed because it was just too iffy with other illnesses rolling through our small community.
But I sent cookies to family in the States. DD, DS, my parents, my in-laws, my brother’s family and my sister in law’s family. I haven’t been out of the house in almost a month, so I’m confident they are safe. Perhaps a little stale, but they all asked me to send stuff. I also tucked in some Belgian chocolate, so if the cookies are stale the chocolate should still be good.
DH brought a thing home tonight for a treat exchange at work. I have to make 20 bags of goodies! Yikes!!! I can’t bail on this one—he’s part of the senior leadership. But 20? I told him he didn’t need to bring anything g home. It’s just the 2 of us. We don’t need all that sugar! Plus, I have our portion of what I mailed to the US already made.

The truth is they are super easy. I looked up a recipe and was so surprised. kristineskitchenblog.com/classic-biscotti-recipe/is what I used. I sprinkled regular sugar on top. They were even tastier the next day. I didn't use almond extract because I don't have it nor like it.

Yes, but only with very few people. Not as big a production as I’ve done in the past. I asked beforehand due to COVID concerns and they were all enthusiastic and looking forward to the treats. There’s also a center for handicapped adults that I give a huge platter of various cookies to every Christmas for the staff. I asked the director if this was against their rules now and she said no absolutely not, and she even said they would be disappointed if they didn’t get their treats!

I baked all day yesterday in order to bring a selection of baked goods to DS today - he's temporarily somewhat local to us and we met up and got takeway and ate in a local park together (and stayed masked except while eating).
I might bake and give to my friends like family locally - we're much more cautious than they are so I'm confident they'll be okay receiving. if they give us baked goods? Yes - I'll eat them. Either way it'll be a masked, outside exchange and we'll hand it over and then back off and talk from a distance.

Yeah, from what I’ve read food isn’t a risk. My girls love to bake so they’ve been making some treats to take to friends and family. We will just ding dong ditch.

I typically share homemade cinnamon rolls. I’m not for two reasons, first, I’m remodeling. Second, several of the people I shared them with last year never baked them. I put a ton of time and work into making them and it really hurt my feelings that my sister, niece, and nephew couldn’t be bothered to turn on their ovens and bake them. I included written instructions how to bake them and how to make the icing for them along with pre-measured powdered sugar and vanilla. I’ll be making them again this year but not for them.
I always make sure my boys and their families have a pan to pop in the oven Xmas morning. They were so upset one year when I cheated with tubed rolls. Poor things. 😂

I'm not, mainly because most of the places I would typically share baked goods won't be happening this year - no after Mass Glühwein and cookies on Christmas Eve, no Christmas parties. I don't usually bake just to give a plate of cookies or cake to friends.

I do not bake but always make fudge and chocolate candy. Never share with neighbors, only barely know the names of a few. I will be giving fudge/candy to the guys that are working on our bathrooms, to the pool service person and to the security people. Other than that no one. I have never received homemade holiday cookies or food from anyone so I do not think this year will not be any different.

I said yes, although technically, because I do this for a living, it probably doesn't count.
I am in the middle of my annual Christmas cookie package season - package of 10 dozen cookies, 6 varieties, all in one box. I've so far sold 85 packages. Plus over 1000 hot chocolate bombs.
But I'm in a health inspected kitchen and people are paying me for things. So different story.

I made a pumpkin pound cake just before Thanksgiving for Mother's caregivers at Assisted Living. I asked before making it to be sure it would be welcomed.
I'm not planning to do anything for Christmas but I might make them something in the winter. If I know the giver AND I know they have tried to be safe about the virus, then I would eat baked goods given to me. The latter is probably the biggest issue. So many people I know have not been as careful as I think they should be.

I’m not doing the cookie trays I usually do, because I don’t want to give people something that creates any sort of consternation. I’m actually liking the lack of stress and it’s freed up my time to make the Christmas stockings I’ve been wanting to make for several years, but never had the time and energy.

A local chef who has a string of restaurants and is struggling this year to keep them open has advertised a package of her favorite Christmas cookies for sale. I've shipped them off to 2 of DH's sisters since we usually bring goodies to gatherings we won't have this year. One of our neighbors just delivered goodies last night and DH and DD have started eating them. DH says I need to make goodies to take to them. My concern is that one of those neighbors has a debilitating progressive disease. I know they are isolating. But I run a craft studio. I see dozens of customers each week. *I'M* the risk. I think I'll wear a mask when I make the toffee I usually take them.

I said no because I don't bake. Even when I do, I don't share it. I don't think anyone outside of the immediate household ever was given my baking that wasn't part of a birthday party.
Too many restrictions and weird people's hang ups over non-commerically produced food.
