I finished the final episode yesterday. I haven't read the book (maybe that helps?). But what a mind f*ck of a show. I was not expecting the ending!

thanks - i will check it out! all i have right now is rupaul's drag race and drag race uk. i burned thru 11 seasons (and canada's drag race and 1 season of uk and 2 all stars) in the last 6 months or so. the ones i am watching are current now so only 1 episode of each a week. remember that's how tv used to be.... lol! and then pre-empted one week due to presidents talking or a football game?? looking forward to checking the recommendation out!! Another Drag Race fan here!! I can't get enough of this show! I've watched each season at least twice and my favorites three or four times. I'm obsessed! Currently watching 13 alongside UK season 2.

Another Drag Race fan here!! I can't get enough of this show! I've watched each season at least twice and my favorites three or four times. I'm obsessed! Currently watching 13 alongside UK season 2. made kids say what each of them were thankful for at thanksgiving dinner. youngest said he was "grateful there are only 12 seasons of drag race and mom is on season 11". i told him not to be jealous of my boogie - and that he can "sashay away". lol! then i filled him in on all stars, uk and canada plus 2 new seasons. mwah haha!!!! My daughter was home for three weeks at Christmas and we binged almost all the seasons. my DD finds it too exhausting to watch. she can only last for about 2 episodes. she struggles with the verbiage, doesn't know what a snatch is, doesn't get the "reading" insults... i spent a lot of time at gay clubs in my 20s and 30s so didn't occur to me it needed translation?!?! just finished behind her eyes yesterday, to stay on topic. whoa. really good - i liked it!!

I had to find an explanation of Behind Her Eyes. I didn't get it. Giant waste of time I think.

Just finished watching this with my DD. I had already read the book so the ending was not a surprise to me but I loved seeing my DD's reaction, she was NOT expecting that!! So funny!!

Massively let down by the ending. Save yourselves. Don’t start.

I enjoyed it, but figured it out when they showed the blue parts, thanks to reading and rereading Lois Duncan's books when I was younger. This exact plot wasn't one of her books, but it sure made it easy to figure out what was going on. I don't want to post the title so I don't give clues to anyone. My husband had never read them, so as soon as I realized what was happening I explained it all to him and told him what how I figured it was going to end. (Not the how of the actual act, but what was going to happen)
We enjoyed it though. Acting was really good, story moved along.

When I read the book, I also realised that the plot was very similar to a book I had read many years ago as a teenager. I couldn't remember the name of the book, but now thanks to you I know that it was the same one you are referring to. I didn't love the Behind her Eyes book, maybe because it was a bit predictable to me, but thought the series was quite well done. I enjoyed it more than the book.

I was on my phone earlier so couldn’t figure out how to use spoilers, but the book is Stranger With My Face and the plot is pretty similar, bad person tries to take over nice persons life to gain something using astral projection.
I honestly don’t know that I would have understood the astral projection stuff had I not read that book as that is the only place I ever heard about it. I feel like I would have been super confused by the series if I didn’t have any knowledge of Astral Projection.

I read that book as a teen too; I did feel like it offered much more of an explanation of the plot point than this book did (I haven't seen the show, so don't know how much set-up the show provided); I, too, don't think I would have understood the plot twist at all had I not read that book as a teen, but I don't recall being as frustrated with the teen book because the thing was central to the plot throughout, rather than tacked on at the end.

The AP was brought up maybe halfway through in the show, I actually have the book Behind Her Eyes, but haven’t read it. I also think that if I hadn’t known about AP I wouldn’t have understood at all. Thinking back there were clues, but it wasn’t until they revealed the AP plot point that it clicked what was happening and how it was clearly going to end, I want to reread the Lois Duncan book now, I loved it so much as a young teen.
