Soooo many...too hard to make a top 3 or 10 but these are some that speak to me. Songbird - Fleetwood Mac You Say Nothing at All - Alison Kraus Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton Weak in the Knees - Serena Ryder Lady in Red - Chris DeBurgh More Than Words - Extreme I Swear - Boyz to Men I also love all the Shanghai-Las songs- Walking in the Sand, Give Us Your Blessing, Leader of the Pack, etc, Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley. Small Talk and Pride or Changes or Please Mr. Please by Olivia Newton John. As a pre-teen/young teen 2 of my favorite songs were Leader of the Pack and tell Laura I Love Her.

That is another love tragedy. Man those are the best. And Last Kiss. I used to have a record with all those songs and it actually came with a small pack of tissues.

I hope this link works. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DdhwdOaL01vo&ved=2ahUKEwjz66HV3YDvAhXTvZ4KHSluAioQwqsBegQIEBAJ&sqi=2&usg=AOvVaw0d04BCfr9nyKBb1rMqHShYThere is another song called Patches that generally pops up first. This is the one that I was talking about. Down by the court yard that flows by the river stands wooden houses with shutters torn down. There lives a girl everybody calls Patches. Patches, my darling, of old shanty town. Gah, I love these songs. I need to use the happy songs to make one playlist and another with the sad songs.

For me it's "Waiting To Happen" by my favorite band Marillion. I love the lyrics, the music, everything about it. It's the perfect love song.

Three that immediately come to mind:
Annie’s Song by John Denver If I Should Fall Behind by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band If I Ever Saw Heaven by Roan Ash
I was not familiar with the last one until recently. My son got married in an outdoor ceremony a few months ago and the bride had a long walk down the path to him. She chose that as her song to walk down the aisle to and now when I hear it, I picture the pure love and joy on my son’s face the moment he saw her.

I’ve thought of some others that I really like. One is corny, but such a feel good song for young people - What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction.
And two by Ed Sheeran - Perfect (of course) and Supermarket Flowers, not romantic but a love song nevertheless.

I already listed three songs, but now I'm looking at my playlist and there's so many great love songs, it hard to narrow it down. I have more to add.
Dave Matthews "Steady as we go"
Van Morrison "Someone like you"
Brett Eldredge "The one you need"

So sappy but I absolutely love: Open Arms--Journey The Beautiful Ones--Prince (actually not sappy) I Can't Live (If Living Is Without You)--Harry Chapin Suddenly--Billy Ocean
Mariah must agree with me on the first three because she remade all of them!

In Spite of Ourselves by John Prine and Iris Dement because a good sense of humor is everything 😊 I am mostly skulking around the board lately due to some wonky vision issues but had to stop by to say... OMG YES. I think this is just the best ever and should I ever find a man who agrees I might just consider the holy state of matrimony again. lol

Somebody by Depeche Mode. To me it is the most accurate description of what love is, and seeing Martin Gore singing it solo on stage? Made me completely tear up. Yes to this! I posted some favorites last night and couldn't remember this song. I knew it was the solo by Martin of Depeche Mode, but couldn't think of the title or get the tune started in my head. It was too late and I was too tired to put more thought into it. I'm so glad you posted this! Off to edit my previous post.
