I do!
Yes, I know it's a bit early to be thinking about, since the kids just got out of school, but I can't help it.
I love when Walmart puts so many school supplies out super cheap. All the glue sticks and pencils and crayons you could dream of.
And I guess it doesn't help that I have an absolute compulsion to be prepared and have everything bought and prepared for.
So, anyone know when Staples and Walmart generally start their back to school sales?

My son is starting Preschool in the fall. I hope I get to do some shopping. Not sure what all a Prek-er is gonna need.

Here, everything is provided by the district until middle school and, then, we typically only have to buy binders, paper and pens/pencils.

I do!! This year I have a 9th grader (boy!!) who is actually starting to pay attention to fashion so I am extra excited about shopping this year. We'll be in Gettysburg in July and will hit the outlet mall before we head home...I can't wait!

Me! I love back to school shopping, but I am a nerd like that I always stock up up on what we need while it is cheap. Then I have small cupboard that is out own personal stationary "store". I love having what we need when we need it, and must of it does not cost a lot either.

Me! Me!! I LOVE back to school shopping for supplies. I already printed out last year's list for the 5th graders since I doubt it will change all that much. I can check prices on the stuff that I get my corporate discount through Staples for, but a lot of times it's actually cheaper not going that route. The BTS shopping for clothes will be interesting this year - I have been lucky since DD has never been much of a "fashionista" or into any trends, she's just a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl (except on picture day, of course, and other special school functions, which are few and far between.) I hope my luck continues and we will get away with a low-stress visit to the mall or the outlet stores nearby. Her feet are almost as big as mine and I have at least 20 pairs of practically brand-new Vans that I'm too old to wear - they KILL my feet.

I do, and so does my DD. She will be in 8th grade this year, so we will go together and buy all the fun stuff! My DS that will be a junior could care less. "Just buy me some notebooks that aren't pink" is what he told me last year! Maybe I'll buy him some pens and pencils too. haha

I do. But not yet! August 1 is early enough for me. I love spoiling my kids with Crayola crayons and Ticonderoga pencils. The school supplies crappy Roseart ones!

I love it too.
I still color with my kids (they are 8 & 14) and love new Crayola markers. I usually wait until August 1st to start buying but I see some stored putting stuff out already.

Although my kids have been in school, they're switching schools this year. At the old school, we paid a chunk of money to the school and they bulk ordered all supplies. It was mandatory. I didn't mind - it was fiscally a good deal, and they'd divide up any leftovers at the end of the year and send them home. They're switching schools this year, and we'll have to go school supply shopping. I'm kind of excited, lol, but I think the rules are more boring now. Instead of requiring (for example) 5 folders, it's 2 red, 2 blue, and 1 yellow. BO-RING!

I don't even have kids and like back to school supply shopping. It's a great time to stock up on office supplies. I usually buy and donate the penny and other really cheap stuff from Staples , but that won't be happening this year since the local Staples closed.

I love it. I love to buy for my kids and my classroom.
I'd rather pay for supplies and have my tax, money go to pay for an extra teacher or technology or whatnot.

I have a cat and, in all honesty, I don't think anyone would buy the whole 'I have to buy supplies for my 3 year old feline' so have to just admit to loving stationary/supplies all on my own!

Yes!
But, I'm so prepared, I haven't needed to shop the sales for the last 2 years. Do not need to this year either.
The only thing I will be watching for is a decent sale on the binders we prefer, from Staples.
Both the boy & I need binders.
Paper & pretty pens & pencils have intrigued me ever since I can remember.

I love buying new school supplies. We homeschool so I don't have to deal with any crazy school lists, I just get to pick out the fun supplies I want to have.

I think it's fun! In the past, the PTO has done a fundraiser where we paid at the end of the year for the next year's supplies that were then ordered by the school and it was marked up a little for the school to make a small profit. We never got anything about doing that this year, though, so I guess they decided to discontinue it.
I'm NOT looking forward to school clothes shopping. My oldest DD is a huge tomboy and she's moving into 3rd grade, which is when the dress code changes. No more soccer shorts or sweatpants. Only k-2 can wear elastic waist pants/shorts. Not sure what she will do until it cools off enough to wear jeans, which will probably be late October.

Gosh, I just love school and office supplies. Our church news blast this week announced the school supply donation drive starts in three weeks! I get so excited because we don't have kids so this gives me a reason to buy school supplies. I spend way too much time browsing all the aisles, picking up this and that along with all the basics. At least I don't feel guilty buying stuff since it will be used and goes to a great cause. Unlike the massive supply of own personal stash.
