I had something similar happen at the DQ drive through with the family. We had an order of 5 items or so and two of them were from the "2 for $5" section of the menu. I had a price total in mind and when I got to the window to pay, the total seemed high. I asked about it and they said, "oh, you wanted the 2 for $5 deal? You have to specifically ask for it". They had just charged me regular price for those items. Seemed silly to have to ask, but lesson learned. They did adjust the total, and now I will be more clear about ordering when there is a chance it could be priced differently. Yeah it’s like you need to know the secret password to get in. As if they are advertising but don’t want everyone to know. If I worked there I would probably get so confused when people were ordering and didn’t say 2 for $5 and then I’d probably feel on edge when telling them how much their total is, waiting for the “huh?” reaction. But that’s just me. I like going with the flow and that does not feel like flow to me.
