"Rural Americans are dying of Covid at more than twice the rate of their urban counterparts—a divide that health experts say is likely to widen as access to medical care shrinks for a population that tends to be older, sicker, heavier, poorer, and less vaccinated.... Since the pandemic began, about 1 in 434 rural Americans have died of Covid, compared with roughly 1 in 513 urban Americans, the institute’s data shows. And though vaccines have reduced overall Covid death rates since the winter peak, rural mortality rates are now more than double urban rates—and accelerating quickly" qz.com/2067368/covid-is-killing-rural-americans-at-twice-the-rate-of-urbanites/

Need to rethink that. Sen Johnson has Covid news... I hope his constituents are paying attention... Sen. Ron Johnson on Monday implied that COVID-19 vaccines were responsible for the surge in the COVID-19 delta variant this summer during an interview on Fox News. While talking with host Tucker Carlson, Johnson drew a line between the availability of vaccines and the delta variant. Science has been corrupted, our medical system has been corrupted!" Johnson fumed. "Now I put a chart on the Senate floor last week that showed the pandemic was winding down before the vaccines ever had a chance to take off. Now you'd expect on that chart that the pandemic would continue to wind down! It didn't! We've had this huge delta surge!"In fact, the delta variant had its biggest impact on unvaccinated Americans, who made up the vast majority of people who were hospitalized with the disease this summer. According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, unvaccinated Americans were 29 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 than vaccinated Americans. Johnson went on to say that focusing on vaccines has been a "blunder" and that more emphasis should be placed on "early treatment" options for the disease."I don't know why you're the only one saying this, but I'm grateful that you are," Carlson said. www.rawstory.com/ron-johnson-fox-news/GREAT, he presented his chart in the Senate, that means it is in the permanent record for generations to see!!

DeSantis..... His big donor .. RegeneRon game.. On Monday, Bloomberg News reported that a GOP megadonor has slammed the door on backing former President Donald Trump for a 2024 presidential run. "Hedge fund manager Ken Griffin, a major donor to Republicans, ruled out supporting Donald Trump for another run for president," reported Alan Mirabella. "'I think it's time for America to move on,' he said in a discussion Monday with Erik Schatzker at the Economic Club of Chicago."This comes amid reporting from The Washington Post that Trump had to be talked out of an early announcement by his top aides, although he still wants to run and continues to drop hints that an announcement may come in the future. Griffin is a major donor to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has also been rumored to have presidential ambitions, although he has stated that he doesn't currently have any plans to run.The Griffin-DeSantis relationship became marred with controversy after reports that Griffin is heavily invested in Regeneron, which makes a monoclonal COVID-19 antibody treatment DeSantis has aggressively pushed even as he mounts legal and political battles against local mask and vaccine mandates. DeSantis' campaign has denied any conflict of interest, arguing that Griffin's portfolio also contains shares of COVID-19 vaccinemakers Pfizer and Moderna.www.rawstory.com/trump-2024-donor/I find it interesting that DeSantis campaign knows what other stocks Griffin holds. I certainly do not want Griffin to fund DeSantis more then he already has.

There’s plenty of proof on r/Hermancainaward - and every single award winner follows the same, predictable path.
It’s so weird how they all post such hateful stuff but their family members all say that they were such good people, heaven got a good one, etc. No, they were vile people who had nothing but hate for anyone not like them, yet they all call themselves Christian. Weird.

A little late but the gov of Idaho speaks out for vaccines... Monoclonal antibody therapeutics are authorized by the Food and Drug Administration — the same kind of authorization the FDA gave to Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. The monoclonal antibodies are not yet FDA-approved like the Pfizer vaccine is.*** I would remind everybody that, because of what COVID is doing nationwide, there's a supply crunch," said Idaho Gov. Brad Little on a telephone town hall Tuesday. “And it's a lot easier to get vaccinated, to talk to your doctor and make the choice to get vaccinated, than to wait and take the chance that there may not be monoclonal antibodies (available). As a reminder, the Pfizer vaccine has got full approval, but the monoclonal antibody is still under an emergency use authorization. … We're putting resources into it, but it's not as good as the vaccines."www.rawstory.com/what-are-monoclonal-antibodies/As a current resident of North Idaho, I assure you this information will fall on deaf ears. The more you try to convince these people, the more they dig their heels in. I’m at the “stop trying and let the chips fall where they may”point. Our hospitals are overwhelmed and are in crisis standard of care mode and it’s still not changing anyones mind about the vaccine. Hell, we have two school board members resigning over the fury from parents over a possible mask mandate in school. They can just keep taking their horse de-wormer and let nature sort it out.

I understand what you're saying, but the problem with letting the chips fall as they will or letting nature sort it out is that the unvaccinated aren't just spreading this around to themselves. They're passing it along to vaccinated people, some of whom opted to vaccinate because they know they would likely be at higher risk for a worse case--people who already have medical issues, people who are very elderly, etc. And they are also passing it along to people who cannot be vaccinated, which includes about half the children in the country. Plus, even if they were only passing it around their own group, they would still be filling our hospitals to past the point of capacity, meaning that people sick or injured have to wait longer to be seen or even not seen at all. Their choice to ignore science & medicine hurts others, and that's where I feel the line of personal freedom always needs to be drawn. Do your own thing---as long as it does not hurt others. People choosing not to vaccinate are indeed hurting others.

In Ohio, and I am sitting on that bench with you. Not gonna try to talk anyone into anything any more, because it just leads to arguments. The people that ai know who are unvaccinated have also dug their heels in, and nothing that I say will change that. There is a tremendous amount of anger in MAGA world, and I *think* that it’s because so many people believe that TFG really won. Although, the irony of so many of them saying that Biden is senile is not lost on me. Have they ever actually listened to Trump and the gibberish that he constantly spouted? Luckily I can grin behind my mask when they spout their big bag of bs.

It just shows they do not tell the truth, not even to them selves. The feds should stop providing them with monochronal anti-bodies($2100) because it is emergence use, where they have refused to take the vaccine($25) which has been upgraded to FULLY APPROVED!!!
That is taxpayer dollars paying for them!!!

Ah ha!!! Nurses make some dollars or EMTs, long term.. FOX is hiring!! $50-$30 hour!! According to a recruiting email obtained by the conservative Bulwark, Fox News is seeking health workers to give COVID-19 tests to employees who balk at being vaccinated. What is telling about the hiring drive is that the company is suggesting the those who find employment with them are looking at "indefinite/long-term assignment" that could lead to over a year of employment. While the network has been under fire for questioning COVID-19 health protocols -- led by top prime time hosts Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson -- Fox has been insisting employees get the readily available vaccines but, apparently without complete success. As the Bulwark reports, the email explains that "... the swabbers would start next week, on October 13. The job is 'projected to be an indefinite/long-term assignment with recent policies that have been put in place regarding employee vaccinations/COVID testing. Likely 12+ months.'"The report goes on to explain that new hires will be expected, to "Perform rapid antigen COVID swab testing on approx. 40-60 unvaccinated Fox employees per shift."In September the Associated Press reported that Kevin Lord, executive vice president of human resources at Fox News parent Fox Corp., issued an edict requiring all unvaccinated employees to be tested every day -- instead of once a week -- in order to come to work.www.rawstory.com/fox-news-covid-testing/

He says the same stuff snd had such a limited vocabulary. Uses the same few lines over and over again. That he is out of shape but former walks stopped over snd seems ready to fall over. After he was whisked away to the bunker started accusing Biden of hiding in a bunker (yes I know the president is to be protected but the irony is just so frustrating).

New Hampshire is now on the Covid loon list ...(at least one of them is far gone) GOP lawmaker says COVID deaths are a Vatican plot — and vaccines contain 'living organisms with tentacles' New Hampshire state Rep. Ken Weyler (R) (YouTube) According to New Hampshire Public Radio, New Hampshire GOP state Rep. Ken Weyler is now facing bipartisan calls to be stripped of leadership — including from GOP Gov. Chris Sununu. According to the accusations, the state house Finance Committee chairman circulated a series of bizarre COVID-19 conspiracy theories laced with attacks on the Catholic church.Sununu's statement comes after Weyler, 79, emailed colleagues materials full of COVID conspiracy theories, including a discredited, false report that claims COVID deaths are driven by a plot orchestrated out of Vatican City, Washington D.C. and London," reported Josh Rogers. "'It's all one huge puppet theatre, where the majority of the people — even most of those who are complicit — haven't got the slightest clue what is going on, and how everyone is being played,' the report states. Among other false claims, the report says some COVID vaccines include 'living organism(s) with tentacles.'"According to WMUR's Adam Sexton, Weyler also called the Catholic church a "criminal network" full of "Satanists" and "Luciferians" dabbling in "dark ancient spiritual practices."www.rawstory.com/new-hampshire-republican-conspiracies/

NH is one of the most represented states in the country. We're a small state with a relatively small population but we have over 400 Representatives, one for every 3,000 people. Unfortunately, in November Sununu was re-elected and he helped flip the state legislature to a Republican majority. Also regrettably, I think Sununu has plans to run for senate. His poll numbers are starting to come down, though. The restrictive abortion bill that he signed isn't helping. Somehow, despite clear evidence to the contrary, he still claims to be pro choice. www.concordmonitor.com/Poll-says-Sununu-popularity-fading-On-the-Trail-by-Paul-Steinhauser-42669062The Republicans in an ultimate show of hypocrisy also passed a "medical freedom bill" banning vaccine mandates. www.laconiadailysun.com/news/state/sununu-signs-law-banning-vaccine-mandates-in-new-hampshire/article_57b919e2-d14a-5efc-9b74-312bc68ffd08.htmlThe "medical freedom" law which passed the Republican-controlled Legislature on a largely party-line vote, states that people have the "natural, essential and inherent right to bodily integrity, free from any threat or compulsion by government to accept an immunization." "No person may be compelled to receive an immunization for COVID-19 in order to secure, receive, or access any public facility, any public benefit, or any public service from the state of New Hampshire, or any political subdivision thereof, including but not limited to counties, cities, towns, precincts, water districts, school districts, schools, or quasi-public entities," it reads.
