Retest...the rapid ones are not reliable... False negative is a lot more likely than false positive, I think. Well those two women on the View were false positives....LOL...

So I had taken Friday off. One class was rude to the sub.
They got their butts reamed today and they will hate my class for the next week

Apparently me losing my crap on my class Friday worked because today they were the quietest little angels. I reworked all my lesson plans this week so we have an activity each day that addresses classroom behavior. Not counting my chickens yet though.

SabrinaP, I hope your cases passes quickly and completely! @merge nailed it about masks and classroom management. I use my face for SO MUCH - having it half covered is like working with one hand tied behind my back. And on top of that, my voice is tired out from talking/singing through the mask all day.

For the life of me, I don't understand why it's necessary to create so much change this year. It's like everyone sat around last year and had too much time on their hands so they came up with ways to make our jobs more challenging.
I've had more disruption this year than last year as far a quarantines. We had very few covid cases last year on our zip code. Everything is back to normal so of course there will be more close contacts especially from home. I'm thankful for an amazing principal because he makes our job easier to handle. I'm sure he's carrying part of our stress.
I feel like my schedule and time management is better than last year and I feel more prepared. I'm not worn out from teaching my son in the evenings all year for virtual learning which was by choice.
I'm tired of being told to be patient and flexible. I could just scream if I get another email asking that of us because someone didn't do their job. We aren't emailing parents asking for them to be patient and flexible. We just do our jobs as expected.

If you’re not already using something like this, it’s a voice-saver. Well I went and got tested today and my rapid test came back positive. Ugh! I’m upset and hope the rest of my family can stay healthy. We are all fully vaccinated. Our house is too small to be able to quarantine much, but we will do our best. Retest...the rapid ones are not reliable... Oh I have every single symptom. I have no doubt it’s Covid.

Oh I have every single symptom. I have no doubt it’s Covid. Grrr.... How are you feeling? I’m doing ok. I finally got rid of the headache this afternoon. Now it’s mostly just congestion. Nothing more than a bad cold. I’m coughing a little, but nothing too severe. Thank goodness for the vaccine!

We ha e another teacher out with Covid.
Covering classes is getting old. We've now had 7 staff members test positive IN LESS THAN 4 WEEKS!!!
It is about 17% of our staff
