My neighbor’s tree just crashed into my front yard. 😦 I have one in the backyard that’s leaning…keeping my fingers crossed.

We are getting an insane amount. We are near the top of the ridge of the Santa Cruz mountains just south of Half Moon Bay. I had to unclog our driveway drain this morning and clean out a couple of our gutters. We have been pretty much non-stop rain since 8pm last night. There is a tree down on our road two houses below us that knocked out power to everyone below us and is blocking the road. Once PG&E finally comes to check the line we will most likely lose power and there is no estimate for return of power. We were supposed to get a new backup generator installed last Thurs/Fri, but of course, they had something come up and had to delay. So once it is out we will be out for a while.

Yeah, it's been raining non-stop since last night, predicted to continue through tomorrow. And it's been really windy. Here's a funny--my neighbor blows the leaves off his driveway and sidewalk every day, at least once a day. He was out there yesterday and again today--wearing his coat and holding an umbrella--blowing those leaves and picking up acorns. But the wind won. I took a pic and video today 'cause I think I will dub him my 'nutty neighbor' (said lovingly as we really are friends).

I’m soooooo ready! I miss the awesome rains we used to get. If it’s warm enough, I’ll open the back doors wide and snuggle under a blanket to take it all in. I'm in Canada visiting mum and I've been delighting in splashing about in puddles, feeling fat raindrops hit my sandal clad toes, and sitting on the porch during heavy rain. Ahhh.... DD and her husband are at the base of the Oakland Hills and a couple of hours she told me that they have flooding in a basement storage room. They're trying to figure out how to redirect the water. She said it had been raining hard for 24 hours. Back home there is supposed to be fairly heavy rain overnight and tomorrow morning. We're very close to the Alisal Frie burn scar but not under it. Flooding and debris flows expected. A few ranches are in danger and they are under mandatory evacuation orders. We are sooo lucky the recent fire was not above a heavily populated area. Stay safe everyone!

While we’ve gotten some rain over the last few days today is especially brutal. It’s been pouring rain all day and will continue into the night, finally slowing down early tomorrow morning.
There’s a lot of flooded roads nearby and power outages but so far we’re doing well.
We’re in Marin County, just across the Golden Gate Bridge.

I left my house at 9:30 this morning in Calaveras county and spent most of my day in Lodi. Wind and rain. Came home to power going on and off constantly. Finally turned on the gas powered generator to have power.

It's been pouring rain all day in my area too and not expected to stop until tomorrow AM. Fortunately the strong winds have stopped so it's just heavy rain. Earlier this year when I had my backyard remodeled, I had a french drain installed (because my neighbor's yard drains into mine). I'm so glad I did.

My rain gauge stops at 5". I put it out Friday morning and tonight it's overflowing. The roads are a mess, highways are getting closed, and trees are down everywhere. I have to leave for work at 6am tomorrow. Sure hoping my poor little car can make it.

I've been tracking the storm on my weather ap. What does the forecast look like in your area? Cloudy with a bit of sun for the rest of the week! Everything says it'll rain a bit today but the big storm just hit us Saturday night into all of Sunday. Now I think now it's just the effects of the quick rainfall and dealing with that. My boyfriend drives 99 and 5 northbound past the capital for work and said the fields were all lakes this morning.

We are supposed to get the rain after lunch, with the hardest right at the rush hour! But it is supposed to be short and fast, gone by 8PM. It is already gray at 9AM.

All we've gotten in the high desert is high winds so far, with dark skies. No rain yet.

I think this is a case of all or nothing. Damn weather/global warming.
It's fine here in Tampa; it was a wet and breezy day which is welcome when you live with so much sunshine and heat.

That’s pretty amazing. 8 inches of rain is crazy though. We got over a third of an inch here in Southern California which was a bit more than the estimates.

My little local lake reported just over 4” of rain. The level went up a whole .5” lol
Driving into the valley this morning was crazy town in the dark. Lots of water on the road and water still coming down. I had a few flooded sections I had to drive thru super slowly. The water was just pounded across the road and not flowing. All of the orchards on both sides of the highway were full of water, it was beautiful! Coming home today most of the water has gone down. Expected dry and clear the rest of the week,

All I can think though is that often recently our wildfire season goes into late November and I’m so happy it is over now KCBS traffic was reporting some kind of small grass fire today near the freeway out around Livermore or maybe Altamont Pass? And all I could think was, W … T … ever-lovin’ … F ?!?!
