That's me. Not for any other reason than I just don't.
Until I do. I'm pretty much a light wieght so it doesn't take much. Isuay in the hot if summer 8ll put those bagged frozen strawberry daiquiris in freezer for ease when want. Or anything simple. Vodka/cranberry or Malibu and pineapple juice.
I could have just talked myself into one soon
😜
Malibu and Coke. Mmmmmmmmm
I totally missed this thread, craptastic Wi-Fi!
I had the functioning alcoholic dads. They drank mass amounts, but got up and went to work everyday. My biological father was just a drinker, my stepdad was an abuser.
I was 17 when I joined the Army, and had been a straight A party girl all thru highschool, drinking and smoking pot on the weekends. In the Army I was considered legal drinking age in base, and while in the states I drank every weekend, no more lot smoking. 👿 I was 19 when I got stationed in Germany. Holy crapoly, did I love German beer. I drank daily, and it wasn't unusual for me to grab a bratwurst and a beer at the train station on my way to work, yup, breakfast beer! For some reason, I just didn't really get very drunk on German beer and despite weighing about 100lbs, I didn't know anyone I couldn't out drink. I had a case of 20 beers delivered to my room weekly. As soon as I got out of the Army, I knew I couldn't drink like that, because I was way too frugal by nature, and didn't particularly want to be my father.
So, since I was 21, I only drink socially, and likely only have a drink or two a month, until the pandemic. I do love a really good juicy hazy double ipa craft beer, and some really epic ones have been coming out like crazy since the pandemic. As a result, we started our Friday Night Beer Hike, and I typically have 2 then, and another 1 on Wednesday at Brew Crew after riding mt bikes. So I'm at 3 - 4 a week. Dh also retired just before the pandemic, and Ds went off to college. Those are likely factors in my increased drinking.
I know several people that don't drink at all, as they are alcoholics, or drink less than once every few months.
