my dad started going to the nail salon when he was in his 80's..he couldn't reach his nails with strength to clip them. he loved the people who ran the local salon. I went with him a few times. my dh would have no problem with them, but as he has complex medical issues with his legs and feet, I don't think it would be a good idea.

My DSO has a real thing about feet, as in he would probably vomit just watching anyone getting a pedicure. I can't stand anyone touching my feet, and I wouldn't ever get a pedicure anyway, so it's a moot point!

Yes, he has once. Not something he’s really into but he would again if I really wanted him to.
The one time was because we had a couple more drinks than planned at a restaurant and we needed to kill time before we could drive home so we wandered into a nearby nail salon. 😂

Mine absolutely would. I'm kind of surprise he hasn't gone on his own.

I have mentioned it a few times but he doesn’t show any interest so I'm going to say no.
Two of my brothers have gone and told him how much they liked it but he still wasn’t interested.
Maybe next year when he’s retired.

I’ve never asked but I bet he would. Probably wouldn’t get his toes painted but he’d love the foot rub.

Not a chance. He can't stand having anyone touch his feet. It's a hard no.

Yes he would but I hate having my feet touched especially by strangers, so we would never go.

No. No way. And, he would even go far as to say - that’s gay.
Which, is why I would never suggest it to him, cos Im sick of hearing his negative homophobic comments

I only go once a year, but haven't since covid. I've never thought to ask him, and I mostly groom his finger and toenails. That said, I'm positive he would go in a flash.

No. He did, shockingly, agree to a couples massage once when we were on vacation. Touch is one of his love languages, and he struggles with strangers touching him. cindyupnorth, would yours?

My DH hates having his feet touched, so he would never have a pedicure. He always gets a massage when we vacation at a spa resort, but mentions his 'feet issue' so they don't touch them.
I think both my sons would have a pedi - my younger one definitely would - and I often see male clients when I am at my nail salon, both for mains and pedis.

No he would not... he is diabetic and a runner... he goes to the podiatrist to get his toe nails cut... anytime he gets a blister or cut on his foot they deal with it.... he has a real strong fear of losing toes or a foot and not being able to run anymore...he would never let some stranger use a cheese grater on his feet...

Mani/pedis are perfect for my dad with Parkinsons. My parent's neighbor used to own her own salon and is kind enough to come over and give dad a haircut and mani/pedi in their home.
My DH? No way.

I don’t think he’d mind the actual process but I think he would hate sitting there with all the women. It’s very rare around here to see a man in a pedicure chair and that would make him uncomfortable I think.
But if one of our girls asked him to go when they were little or for some reason he needed to? He’d go.

No - he has neuropathies in his feet and the pain nerve receptors are the only ones that work. It would be excruciating for him.
I just went for mani-pedis with DS this week. We had such a good time. The owner of the salon recommended a Vietnamese restaurant nearby, so then we went to lunch and had pho. DH would have enjoyed that part.

Mine goes by himself. The woman who owns the salon keeps a beer in the fridge for him, when he comes in. They find him amusing.

He probably would but never has primarily because his feet are so ticklish.
He does schedule spa visits for both of us though for massages and facials. He really enjoys the facials.

No. Not his thing. It's not my thing either LOL.
I've had the Intensive pedicure which is working on the feet/toes and foot/leg massage with warm oils while being cocooned in a blanket laying down. I've never had a typical pedi.

No, he doesnt like people touching his feet. I have only ever had one pedicure when we were visiting family in TN. I found myself wondering about the hygiene of it all the whole time!

He probably wouldn't because he'd consider it 'unnecessary'. He's had massage etc and wouldn't ind it in principle but I think he's just say "Why?'

So here's the story. My dh and I are going on a staycation in state. I had my 1st pedi about 2 yrs ago at a resort spa we stayed at, and loved it. It's the whole massage your feet and legs, relaxing type thing. I don't usually do stuff with my nails, at all. I havn't had one since, so one of the towns we are staying at is a boutiquie town on the river. MN people will know. So I booked an appt for a pedi at a spa. I then got to thinking. I bet dh would like to do that. He is a big, outdoorsey logger. So I text him, and he says no. So then I got to thinking, he has a large skin graft from his heel up the side of his foot, and calf, and I was wondering if he would think the salon would think that's gross. So that started a conversation at work on if your dh would have a pedi or not. It was pretty mixed comments. So I get home and I talked to dh about it, and his reasoning behind not having it done is because he talks..and talks. and it bugs me sometimes, and he said he didn't think I would enjoy my pedi if he was there talking and telling his stories about his skin graft. LOL. I was like, I don't care!! gad, men.
