I'm in Madison, WI. The Saturday Farmers market on the capital square (spring-fall) is really popular and has all of the unique products this area has to offer: flowers, produce, bakery, meat, jams, honeys, etc.
Lots of activities on the lakes and there are many state parks.
For food, everyone should try cheese curds, both fresh and fried!

and finaledition … I really need to know the name and town where this place is. Meadowlark Dairy in downtown Pleasanton. If you follow them on Instagram you’ll see what flavors they currently have. OMG, I didn’t know you were that close, and I’ll be down to visit sometime soon. Thank you!

I live in Colorado Springs and 4 of our top attractions are Pikes Peak (elevation 14,115 feet), Garden of the Gods (red sandstone formations on sacred Indian grounds), the United States Air Force Academy and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (literally on the side of a mountain). Some restaurants in Colorado serve wild game meats and many serve Bison. Colorado is also well known for Pueblo Chilies, which are the equivlent to the New Mexico's Hatch Chilies and Palisade Peaches grown in orchards on the west side of the state close to Grand Junction.
