I listened to Meant to Be by Emily Giffin. The story is loosely based on JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette. I liked it well enough but it wasn't my favorite from Giffin. I did not like the female narrator at all. 3.5/5

I listened to “The Dutch House” by Ann Patchett It was narrated by Tom Hanks. Someone posted it on last weeks thread and I picked it up from their suggestion. :-) It was a really good story. The setting descriptions were very detailed and I could see exactly where the characters were. Loved the ending. Sorry for ugly link …. Peaing mobile. LOL www.goodreads.com/book/show/44318414-the-dutch-houseI have finished two books (audio) recently and I am SO excited about that! I’d love to make time to sit and read but I just don’t get the uninterrupted time to do so. With the audio books, I can listen while doing chores, driving, working on the computer, cooking or even while DH is watching something on TV I’m not particularly interested in. I’m off to find my next read (listen) on this thread! Thx peas!

I’m off to find my next read (listen) on this thread! Thx peas! You may have already read this since its not new but if you haven't listened to Daisy Jones and the Six yet, it was FANTASTIC as an audiobook! Actually, so was The Only Plane in the Sky, but subject matter is heavier. I gave the Dutch House 5 stars when I listened to it last year.

FINISHED:
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt Fantastic first novel about what it means to be a family, featuring part of the story told from the point of view of an octopus in an aquarium exhibit. I loved this.
Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus A female chemist in the 1960s fights the patriarchy to define herself on her own terms. Really liked this a lot, unexpectedly.
Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan Decent romance, but some of the plot devices are a little silly. Quick read.
Cult Classic by Sloane Crosley I did NOT like this book. Got a lot of good reviews, but I really found the protagonist unlikeable and uninteresting. The concept was so good, but I disliked every character, they all need therapy, and the plot would have fallen apart if literally any of them were able to have an adult conversation. Maybe that was the point, but it was irritating. Read it all on the 5 hour plane ride, and there was a child with at least six lungs screaming the entire time, so maybe that added to my irritation? 🤣 This was not for me.
Finished on Audio: This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub A 40 year old woman gets drunk on her birthday and passes out in the shed of her NYC building only to wake up at 16. Like 13 Going on 30 but the relationships explored are more about family than romance (but that's still part of it). This was a good listen.
CURRENTLY READING:
Counterfeit by Kirsten Chen Just started this one
CURRENTLY LISTENING TO: Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
