I have leftover sloppy joes, macaroni salad, couscous and pork kabobs that need to get eaten up so leftovers are on my menu tonight. What's on yours?

Leftover pizza. Had lunch with friends and I bought 2 slices so I'd be able to have one for dinner tonight! If I can wait that long! The pizza is here in at work with me.

Dh will be home at a reasonable hour tonight so he will be doing the grilling (Check out my "Are you afraid of the BBQ/grill?" thread if you haven't already) ... Dh and dd's will have steak and I'll have salmon ... we'll also do up some veggies on this really cool grill pan that we have ... Leanne

Breakfast. I don't want to use the oven (Boise is expecting another 100 degree day). I'm making homemade pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and/or bacon, and fruit.

We are having the closest thing to a Full English Breakfast that I can put together over here - sausages (beer brats lol), bacon (breakfast ham slices), eggs(probably poached), fried mushrooms, hash brown patties and tinned whole tomatoes. Not exactly the same, but as near as I can get

Yesterday was the boy's birthday, and he requested mac and cheese and green beans. That's it. LOL I added bbq chicken. So tonight, now that the kids are gone with their dad on vacation (for the next two weeks ) I am on my own for food for a while. I am having left overs from last night...but most of all I am looking forward to this: Chocolate Truffle PieFor some reason, this year, the kid decided he didn't want a birthday cake, but the pie instead. I was glad because it is SO much easier to make. Honestly, I could skip the bbq and mac and cheese and go straight for the pie. But that would be wrong, right? LOL

LOL I agree with AKathy - go straight for the pie - I can't see anything wrong with that - it's what I would do

My husband is grilling rib-eyes and I'll fix rice pilaf and steamed broccoli as sides. Then a chocolate meringue pie for dessert as that's my father-in-law's favorite. He's coming over tonight for his birthday.

Teriyaki steak with baked potatoes. Not sure about a side yet.
It's so cold here today I wish I had done something that requires hours in the oven.

We're trying something new, thanks to a Food Network episode...
Roast turkey served over a stuffing waffle with gravy and cranberry sauce. This is definitely not a typical meal for us, it will be interesting to see how we all like it.

We are having grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with chips. Dh and I are going to the movie so I wanted something quick and easy for the kids.

I'm not sure yet. I had planned meatloaf, but the sun came out and it' already 74 in our house. I'm thinking something on the stove top... chili mac or enchilada pasta, maybe??

I did go for the pie and it was YUMMY. Y'all? Make this pie. It is so full of chocolately goodness that it will make you heart sing. Even better if you have the PMS chocolate jones.
