DH's flight doesn't arrive until 10PM-if it's not delayed due to weather, so kids and I are just having pizza for dinner. DH is very particular about the kitchen and I don't want to mess it up and have to clean before he gets home. He never complains if I do make a mess, but I just know he likes it CLEAN and he's been gone so much this year I want to make this weekend stress-free for him.

We are having the closest thing to a Full English Breakfast that I can put together over here - sausages (beer brats lol), bacon (breakfast ham slices), eggs(probably poached), fried mushrooms, hash brown patties and tinned whole tomatoes. Not exactly the same, but as near as I can get SarahYoo, you also need to serve buttered white-bread toast, allowed to cool down to room temp, in one of those silver stand-up toast servers. I have one if you need it.

My boys are off to the ball game plus fireworks after, so I'm thinking about M&Ms for dinner. If that's not enough, I bought a rotisserie chicken at Costco this morning, so there's real food, too. And still a lifetime supply of veggies in my fridge. As instructed, I have pinned the chocolate truffle pie recipe, and also the chicken teriyaki bowls. Thanks, ladies!

We have a fridge full of left-overs. So, help yourself. Mom is closed for business. Just an fyi, if you have peanut m&m's those count as protein. Nuts are healthy food. So, put the chicken away and enjoy your high protein meal. Ok, if you want to eat some fruit just to say you were even healthier then you can throw in some skittles.

Ok - that's different!! How on earth do you create that??!! It's regular stuffing, but you dump it in a waffle iron. We got the idea from a Diners Drive Ins and Dives episode (so no official recipe). The chef making it said it includes - bread, carrots, celery caramalized onions, chicken broth, eggs, rosemary, salt & pepper. I can't believe it's almost 90 outside and I'm stood making stuffing. I saw a couple of recipes on Pinterest, apparently it takes twice as long to cook as a regular waffle

Unfortunately, they are plain M&Ms. However, chocolate grows on trees ... doesn't that make it a fruit or something?? Love the skittles idea, though. haha ha

Clearly, you need a lesson in nutrtion 101. Since chocolate derives from the cocoa bean it is a protein even w/o peanuts. If you can't quite wrap your head around the skittles are fruit idea then remember that Starburst candy is also fruit. Now you have options. On the other hand, pretzel m&m's are created purely for the purpose of PMS.

DH actually prefers fried bread I actually relish the challenge of finding US equivalents to our British food - although it never really tastes the same as home. I have cooked more from scratch since living here, and as a result we are eating healthier
