I had my 3rd IUD placed last summer and we had menopause talk. I’m almost 50. At this point I haven’t had a period in 11 years. He told me to keep my IUD and this should be my last one and it will ride with me through menopause.

I will say I noticed a little dryness downstairs and some stubborn weight gain that I cannot get off, but so far no other symptoms.

I had always been very regular. After the tubal, I was irregular. I blamed it on the tubal, but apparently
I was peri menapausal. I stopped at age 40, in the fall.

When I saw my gyn for my annual check up in the spring, I mentioned that I thought I was in menopause. She didn't think so because of my age. Blood tests revealed that I was "over" menopause.

I had no hot flashes etc. Just all periods stopped like a faucet had turned off.
