The old and ugly Mr. Coffee maker is on its last legs. We've done a kitchen remodel and I'd like a new coffee maker that not only works well, but isn't an eyesore on the countertop.
What are you using and loving?
DH only drinks coffee in the mornings or when he's had a looooong day. I drink 1-2 cups a day and am a total sucker for playing with fun flavors, as long as it's not pumpkin spice. Don't know why that doesn't do it for me.

I’ve been really happy with the Cuisinart programmable! Crate and Barrel and kohls both have it.

Are you wanting a drip maker or do you prefer a pod machine? For a drip maker, my recommendation is a Moccamaster by Technivorm. They have an interior copper element that keeps the water much hotter when brewing for better tasting coffee. Pricey but they do last for years. For a pod machine, check out the Nespresso machines. Machines are good and the pods taste better than what you can get with the K-cups.

We had a couple and were never totally happy with them, plus they seemed to die fairly quickly. DH had a bad experience with Nespresso when someone served him a coffee so bold, his eyes rolled back into his head. He's a medium bodied kind of guy. kenziekeeper, I think Costco has the Cuisinart programmable on sale right now if it's the same thing.

elaine recommended the Insta-Pod by Instant Pot and I bought one. I love it. It does both k cups and Nespresso. My keurigs didn't last more than a year or so and the coffee tasted off after a while, even w/de-scaling. This machine is reasonably priced and makes a good cup of coffee.

We are on our second Ninja, and I love it so much. It makes great coffee, can do every size from single cup to full pot, has a frother attached (that really I only use to make my 5yr old something fun), tea features, etc.

All I can suggest (because I don't like my Cuisinart coffee maker and need to replace it) is don't get one with the grinder... we never use it because it's messy, doesn't grind the coffee small enough, and was just a pain.
Maybe I'll get inspired by this thread to buy a new coffee maker...

If you take your receipt back to Costco they will give a refund of the difference if it's within 30 days. I don't know your specifics, but for me if I'm already going there and the AND the return line is short I'd get the refund.

I live an hour from Costco so don't go that often, but if I get back up there within the window, I will ask for the refund. Thanks.

Our first Keurig lasted a long time, like maybe 7 years. Our last one lasted less than a year. We're using a single use K now. DH and I drink our coffee at different times so the K was perfect for us (in timing, not in quality!)
I'm looking at either the Cuisinart, OXO or Ninja thermal carafe coffeemakers. Hoping for a BF sale.

Ninja. I won't buy the kcups because of the tremendous amount of waste.
We have a Ninja programmable that does regular pots, one cup at a time, espresso, cold coffee and can even fluff the milk. We have had it several years and it runs great.

The best coffee I make from home is with my AeroPress - inexpensive, and it takes up no more room in my cupboard than a coffee mug.

I’m not a coffee drinker, but my husband is. I bought him an espresso machine for Christmas and he says it’s the best present I have ever given him. Definitely a bit of a splurge, but if you’re into coffee he really raves about it. It’s the Breville Barista Touch.

I personally go the Chemex pour-over route and am very happy with it. The coffee tastes excellent (of course assuming you're using excellent coffee ) and it's easy to use and clean. You do need to have a kettle to go with it, though (I use a Fellow Stagg). And of course a high quality grinder (but you need that with the Moccamaster too; I use a Fellow Ode).

I've been happy with Cuisinart coffee makers. Most have a setting for brewing 1 - 3 cups. And keep in mind that not all Cuisinart coffee makers have a water window. (I need the water window cause I'm short and have difficulty looking in the water reservoir.)
I bought my Cuisinart coffee maker from Costco 3 years ago. I'm still happy with it.

That looks like mine. The only thing I would suggest is that if you are a by the pot drinker get the one with the insulated carafe (metal). That is the only complaint my husband has.

This is the one I purchased. I am mostly happy with it. I like that I can set a time for it to start brewing. I went from a Bunn to this. I liked the Bunn because it brews so fast so this one took getting used to. Cuisnart

This is off topic, but I read a cozy mystery series set in 1970's era Kansas City. The main character, Ellison, has an ongoing relationship with her Mr. Coffee. She talks to it, it talks back (only to her) it's become a running gag that her Mr. Coffee is the only reliable man in her life. All that to say Ellison approves this thread. LOL.

Several people I know have it and I love the coffee/espresso it makes...but I'm the only coffee drinker in my house and really balk at spending that much on a coffeemaker, plus it takes up a lot of space. But if I win the lottery....! I replaced my Mr. Coffee drip machine a few years ago with a Hamilton Beach dual coffeemaker, and I really like it. The carafe side is programmable, and the single side can do k-cups (which I am not a fan of) or regular drip from your own coffee with a fillable k-cup-style accessory. I think I've only used the actual k-cup option a couple of times for guests and convenience; I normally just grind and brew my own, either single or carafe. The single side brews up to 14 oz. into either a mug/cup or a travel mug, and the coffee comes out nice and HOT! (One of my pet peeves with some coffeemakers including some Kuerigs is that the coffee is sort of lukewarm, not truly hot.)
