I would be so unhappy having Airbnb units in my building A lot of people aren't and in some countries they have been able to pass laws to allow apartment owners to block short stay rentals, and some places have been able to set limits eg: 180 days/year. But not here, the only change in the law has been that if the short stay renters damage the common property - we can now make the owner of the apartment pay to fix it or, or if the renter breaks any of the other rules, then the owner can be fined directly.

Unfortunately not - it's going to be rented out. That is unfortunate. Still, it sounds like the air con is going to be moved (as it should be) so presumably that’s at least some irritation to her/them. And, if you’re likely to be contributing to the cost through your member fees presumably they will be too, so I’d imagine that doesn’t thrill her/them either. 😉 Okay. Well, casting around for the positives here, my understanding is a short term rental/Airbnb can prove to be more work, and less financially rewarding, than some people realise going into it so it’s possible that might be a relatively short lived situation. It also occurs to me that you only need one of their tenants to be friendly/easy going and bingo, you’re being invited to come inside and check out the kitchen cabinets. 🤞👍😁
