lainey - the bottom sweater is from Hobbii.com, free pattern. The yarn is called ‘Winter Glow’ also from Hobbii. It is a wool acrylic mix and feels really squishy in the ball. I haven’t used it before - I saw the pattern on the website and decided I had to make it, so I ordered the yarn in the colours shown.

I have wanted to try felting for years. snoopy , do you buy a kit and if so, where? I was given a kit from an Etsy shop for Christmas, and that got me started. I have seen some darling kits on Etsy, but also check out the web site for the shop Living Felt based in Texas. In my limited experience, I think starting with the right wool (there are tons of different wools!) and using quality needles will give you the best chance for success, and you will get great quality from Living Felt. They also have a video tutorial for how to make the items in the kits, so it’s very beginner friendly. I also really like Felts by Philippa on YouTube. She has a playlist of beginner videos on a variety of topics, and is very informative, as well as incredibly talented.

I've missed participating in this thread but finally have a couple of baskets to share! My mom and I participated in a weaving convention last month, where I was able to take classes from three different teachers. I only finished one of the three but it is my favorite. The teacher lives in Seattle and harvests her own materials. This basket is made out of cedar, sweetgrass, and beargrass. So fun to work with and really makes me wish there was a place around here I could harvest cedar. I've made a Polly Adams Sutton basket from a kit before but am so thankful for the opportunity to learn from her in person. She is a true artist with these materials. This is a basket I made for a swap during the convention. Was nervous about participating and sure hope the person who went home with this one liked it. I like the one I ended up with. There were some fabulous baskets in the swap! My mom and I plan to work on one of our unfinished baskets this Sunday so perhaps I'll have another one to share soon. Loving all these creative projects in here. I have been looking even though I haven't had anything to post!

I made this little card last night and plan on doing them for all my yarn projects so I know what I’m actually making/using! It is not an original idea, I’m sure I’ve seen things like this for sale online, however it is tweaked to tell me what I need to know. I can adapt it as and when I want. It’s not perfect because my Word skills are basic when it comes to anything other than text. I’ve printed it on photo paper as I wanted something stronger than card stock (heaven knows I have enough of that) and it’s plain on the reverse so I can use it to write down and keep track of rows if I’m not using a counter in my phone. There is a post-it note covering the image at the top as it’s one I downloaded and is probably copyrighted.

gillyp I really like that idea of the card. Will you punch a hole and clip it with a stitch marker?

I have a little notebook where I write the info in of projects I'm working on, and any changes I've made to patterns or patterns I've made up, so I can go back and do it again. That would work beautifully if I remembered to keep it up to date. The trouble is that I always think "I'll remember, I'll finish this tomorrow", then I run out of yarn and have to order more, and I use the hook for something else meanwhile, and pick the wrong hook up when the yarn comes... yeah. I made DH's latest hat 2 and a half times because of that. Duh.

If you didn’t want to use photo paper, maybe look for a badge holder or something similar that you can slip the paper into that has holes you can use to attach to your project. When it’s done, take a picture, add it in and keep them on a ring.

I wanted to show off a pattern I found. I'm definitely going to make this one. Chloe had a real attachment to her Pooh bear growing up. So much so that I found one identical to the one she had and I have had it stored for years just waiting until the day she has her first child. I will give it to my grandchild. I am going to make this little blanket and do the same.

It’s a lovely image and even more so that it’s from the original drawings of E.H.Sheperd rather than the Disney one. I love Pooh.

finsup , holy cats that a good and those hats are wonderful. Wasn't Wednesday fun. We typically watch a show every couple of days, but Dh and I plowed thru Wednesday in 3 days! I'll never admit to how many times I went back and watched the dance scene. 😆 I’m working on adapting the dance choreography to bring it to my Zumba class! 💃🏻🎶😄

I’ve made a little progress on my Sholach blanket. This is the first section. And my 100 granny squares project in progress. Some came out much better than others and I haven’t blocked any of them yet. I’m using scrap yarn in DK weight for these.

The granny squares are great finsup Thank you! The animals and the rainbow/clouds gave me fits! Those are possibly my favourites! I love the Sholach. I’m sure I bought the pattern and am just waiting to be ready to start. There’s also a big haunted house that I need to do as well.

I "finished" another swath of crochet while at a wrestling match yesterday. If my goal is to keep my hands busy for the 4 hrs the kids from our school aren't on the mat, I've succeeded. If I am working towards scarves, well...I have a ways to go. 🤣 Attachments:

Thanks to all who commented on my baskets! Appreciate the kindness. Wow! jennifercw as always your baskets are lovely. How's your mom doing? Is she weaving with you again? Yes - in fact we worked together yesterday on two of our unfinished baskets from convention! Sadly, both are still unfinished... It will likely take one more Sunday of weaving and then we want to stain one of them, so that'll be another Sunday. They may not be ready for me to post until the March craft thread! In the meantime, I made these sweet little hearts to put in Valentine treat bags for my daughter and her college roommates!

The hearts are lovely jennifercw. I’ve seen something similar done in paper and in fabric but these are light and airy and so much nicer.
