Hi everyone! I'm still feeling under the weather but I need to grab some groceries so I've decided to do the regular meet up at Denny's with my mum for breakfast ... I don't have much of an appetite so I'll probably just have toast. My other plans for the day just consist of napping and watching TV ... I need to work tomorrow but I've booked a sub for Tuesday ... I hate being sick! This is what I posted on Facebook the other day ... I totally agree with JLC ... I went to see Thomas Rhett with my dd's a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday night and didn't get home until midnight ... I get up at 4 am for work so that pretty much sucked Dinner tonight will probably be takeout Chinese pork dumplings ... yum! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

Hi leannec I hope you can rest today so you feel well enough for work tomorrow. When Jeremy and I went to that jazz concert a couple of weeks ago it was 7:30 on a Tuesday night! Yikes. Eric Clapton in September it was 1 am before we got home from Detroit. I would love to see shows earlier. We are off right now to Volunteers of America. We are going to donate some clothing and see if we can't find Jeremy a pair of jeans that fits him. He's grown a little so yesterday had a hard time finding some jeans that fit him well in his closet. I will look for sweaters and long sleeve tshirts. We ended up at BJ's last night and got a shit ton of soup. We will have soup for dinner tonight. Lobster bisque for me and broccoli cheddar for Jeremy. I did not get a Hungryroot box this week. I felt I needed a break.

Happy Sunday! Get to feeling better leannec. I love lobster bisque jeremysgirl. DH just left to watch the grandsons basketball games. I should have gone but I need to catch up on laundry and cleaning. I really need to go to the grocery but DH said he would stop on his way home. He’s so good to me. I’m going to be pretty lazy today and I don’t care who knows it. It was a rough week at work. Going to watch the B1G Championship game and hope that Purdue wins. Dinner will be pork chops and whatever fresh produce DH brings home.

Happy Sunday. We are just back at our hotel for a quick coffee beak between spending most of the day at the National Gallery and heading out to out ABBA concert. It starts at 6pm and will be over before 8, so we’ll be home at a decent hour! Not sure what dinner will be. We’ll decide after the concert I think. It might depend where we can get a table.

sueg my mother was a huge fan of ABBA. I pretty much grew up at the roller rink in the late 70s. So it is right up there as one of my favorites. Enjoy!

Today will include me helping out at the property, playing Rummikub with Molly, and doing laundry.

leannec, I'm sorry that you're still feeling yucky. I hope that you'll feel much better as the day goes on. I spent last night at the stupid ER getting a problem fixed. It's a common issue, but it has to be resolved right away. So, I couldn't wait until Monday. They were gonna admit me, but the oncall team was there, saw my name and took my case. So, I got to come home. Woohoo! Dh is on call and got called in the wee hours. So, we're both a bit tired today. sueg, have fun at ABBA. Get ready to tap your feet and sway your head. Enjoy today, Everyone.

scrapmaven, I'm glad it was resolved without having to admit you! We ended up taking a chance and went for a short walk. Got sprinkled on but nothing like yesterday's downpour! Got 3,500 steps out of it!

Hi friends!
Crab cakes and a salad kit from Aldi for dinner for us tonight. Nothing fancy, but that's the nice part of Sundays. I make dinner for the rest of the week, and then have something easy.
I noticed some tiny, pin prick-sized red and brown dots on my upper arms last night. I'm used to slightly larger ones, but these seem out of place. I haven't the slightest idea what they are. I'll keep an eye on them, but if any Peas have any ideas, I'm all ears! They're not painful, itchy, or anything like that, but just odd.

scrapmaven glad it was an easy fix So I decided today to check to see if there were flights earlier to Florida as my last trip there was supposed to be on Friday the 17th. I decided to leave here on the 15th and have a couple extra days so that’s what I did. There’s a roast in the oven for dinner that’ll feed me all week and whatever’s leftover will go in the freezer.

I am eating my way through the food the kids left for me. Going to finish the teriyaki chicken tonight. If I can find a vegetable that hasn’t completely died I’ll eat it. (Will shop soon.) Tomorrow I might actually cook! scrapmaven, feel better fast. Glad you didn’t have to check into Club Med.

It's such a boost to our mental health. Jeremy and I will be driving down to Gulf Shores next month for a week in the condo my mom rents for the month of April. We can't wait. He has never been before.

Hi all! jeremysgirl Lobster bisque is one of my favorites. It can be hard to find a good one and that's one I'm not excited to make.maybe I will look for a good recipe and try though. scrapmaven So glad you didn't have to be admitted. Rest easy with dh today. @leeannec and lucyg hope you are both on the mend! We were hanging on, ready to turn in last night when I read in a thread on here someone talking about daylight savings time and how they got an extra hr of pay and I asked Nick about the time clock at work. Oops, he forgot. I didn't want him to have to do that drive so late alone. So out in the snow we went at midnight to go fix the timeclock. Between that little jaunt, turning the clock ahead, and the meds I'm on, we slept laaaaaaate! And then I wanted to fix a breakfast (brunch...lunch?!) with a lot of moving parts. Carrot cake jam from scratch. Raspberry jam (from a jar, lol). Buttermilk biscuits from scratch. Sausage gravy. Scrambled eggs. It all came together to be one of the best breakfasts I've ever made. Nick made coffee and mimosas. I'm done cooking for today. We will probably have hot polish with chili and cheese for Nick. If we are even hungry. We may just snack. We need some vegetables today! We did end up at the Mexican place last night. Their soup is fantastic and I have some left. We each have an errand or two. Pharmacy, etc. I'm dropping some of the extra carrot cake jam off to a friend. We are finishing laundry. We plan to play games this afternoon...rummikub, and I picked up canasta for us to try. We may get a bit more snow. It has mostly melted from last night. Stay warm folks!

We are back home and fed and ready to retire for the night. We ended up having sushi at the hotel restaurant, which was both convenient and very yummy.
The concert was AMAZING! It is a holographic performance. They created 3D avatars of the ABBA members as they were in their prime (1970s) and used real concert footage to animate them. Within minutes of the show starting, you just forgot it wasn’t ’real’ - as Benny said ‘to be or not to be . . . is no longer the question’ It was just like being at an ABBA concert, but with much better lighting effects than were possible in the 70s. If you are visiting London, check if it is still on - I imagine it will run for a while (it’s not like the band are going to get tired) - and GO! If you can’t make it to London, hope that they decide to tour with it, then book and go! I just lost myself in the performance and was almost in tears at some points.

DSO wanted to go to a Thai restaurant for dinner. We booked for four, then messaged friends to see if they could make it, but they are away for the long weekend. We asked DS and his girlfriend if they wanted to come, but they declined. So I rang my dad and stepmum, and they were happy to come with us. We ate All.The.Food. Too much food. I don't think I've ever had lobster bisque, but I'm sure I would love it. It's a pity that lobster is so damn expensive, otherwise I would ask my MIL to make it for us. Lobster bisque reminds me of one of my favourite Seinfeld quotes: Elaine: Yeah. I met this lawyer, we went out to dinner, I had the lobster bisque, we went back to my place, yada yada yada, I never heard from him again.
Jerry: But you yada yada'd over the best part.
Elaine Benes: No, I mentioned the bisque.

DH went to a hockey game with my brother and nephew this afternoon so it was just Walker and I at home. We did some laundry, had a nap and went for a walk.
DH had leftover Hamburger Helper (don’t worry, he loves it!) and I made some pasta with leftover spaghetti sauce.
I love ABBA!
Im feeling better today but I need to address these swollen glands with the dr next week.

sueg, your post made me feel giddy. I'm glad that you two had so much fun. lucyg, glad that you're eating real food and feeling better, but don't overdue. taylortroop, I hope that you can kick this to the curb and feel fine. Several hours later and I haven't moved from this recliner. I think dh is gonna need a crane to get me to move! LOL. I anticipate that tmw will be much better and not nearly as boring.

He and I are the corned beef lovers. Dh likes it, but doesnt love it. I always have to cook two corned beefs, one to eat for dinner and the other to slice up for sandwiches. I swear there have been times my sister, BIL, me, and maybe DS, ate an entire corned beef brisket. Hey, it shrinks a lot during cooking. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
