When we put our house on the market (a little smaller than the one listed, the lot is about the same size, and it went for a little less than this one) our hardwood floors needed to be redone or replaced. We talked to our realtor, who was very successful in her career, and she said she was seeing high-end homes with lvp. Her feeling was people are over hardwood floors and their fussy upkeep. We replaced the entire downstairs with dark lvp and it looked so good! We did the typical "Do we really want to sell?"
Our remodelers just finished installing lvp in our now house and it looks beautiful. And if there comes a day when it doesn't look so great, we'll replace it at far less cash than hardwoods.
ETA The flooring in this house looks almost identical to what we just put in.

If you scroll down the listing, it says that the floors are engineered hardwood. I'm pretty sure that would be a big problem if the floors were actually LVP.

I would expect hardwood floors at that price point. The huge advantage to hardwood floors is that they can be refinished several times so they last a really long time. I really dislike the fact that every single room looks exactly the same. That house has zero personality IMO.

I have no opinion on flooring.
There's something about the pictures that felt photoshopped to me.

I'd be okay w/ engineered hardwood floors. As I understand it, in some climates engineered hardwood floors are preferable to natural hardwood floors.
I don't care for the flooring in that house because I don't care for gray floors.
I posted on one of the other threads that I loved gray walls w/ white trim. However, I don't like gray floors. I think gray floors make a house look cold and sterile. Everyone's taste is different, and I don't think there are any right or wrong choices when it comes to interior design, but I know what my preferences are and I would never buy a house w/ gray floors.

There are a lot of things I don’t like about that house: full flight of stairs to get to front door or up from the garage, WAY too much gray, gray painted cabinets, beige/light brown floors with gray walls (really don’t like that combo), tiny lot and backyard, exterior color, etc.
As far as the flooring, it does say engineered hardwood, but I certainly can’t tell for sure from the pictures if that’s correct.
I think there are good reasons for choosing engineered hardwood or even luxury vinyl (plank or tile) for the flooring, and I have LVT myself. I don’t like what they chose for this house, no matter what it is.

LVP floors would be ripped out of any house I bought, so while it might not be a dealbreaker, the price would need to account for removal and replacement for my flooring of choice, which is hardwood. (My floors are engineered because we needed to be able to install them in our basement, which you can’t do with regular hardwood.)
And yeah, that definitely doesn’t look like hardwood.

Nothing about that house says 1.7 million to me and I hate the giant greatroom feel. For only 3 years old this feels dated but like someone just remodeled and did builder grade everything. Which is fine by me in an affordable home, but this isn't that.
I do love grey and white but I also have added color in the mix with art, etc. That kitchen living area is too big too much. It looks like an empty box.

I REALLY wanted floorboards, but as our 90’s era house has a concrete slab that was already texture tiled AND minimum ceiling height to boot I would have had to have engineered/floating floors. Coupled with the cost and mess of removing all the tiles and replacing all the skirting boards in the house we ended up with screed and lvp over the screed. Although it’s never going to be my favourite, after living with it for a couple of months I’m glad we had it installed as I can rest easy every time the kids spill a drink and don’t tell me etc.
As for the op house, what is irritating me is the colour of the tiles and rugs and carpet clashing with the boards (whatever they are!) cool grey on wall with warm boards is not a good match. The benchtops imo also clash as well for the same reason. If you repainted in a still boring but natural white colour I think the inside would be a million times more cohesive.

I’m reading floors in that home are engineered hardwood from the description. What did I miss?

As I said previously, If those are actually engineered hardwood - and i REALLY doubt the listing is correct on that - they are the cheapest looking engineered hardwoods I’ve ever seen. The finish on the floors looks like LV, and not even nice LV. I’ve never seen any kind of hardwood that looks like that. Ditto with the pattern repeat.

I don't love many of the new laminate flooring options. So, no matter the price of the home, I am always so much happier if I walk in or open a photo and see hardwood floors (or tile, given the room or the home's location). But in both flipped houses and brand new builds, around here, all any builders seem to be putting into homes (meant for sale, not custom builds) is laminate. But yeah, I love wood in a home. Some people walk in and look at light fixtures or appliances, but for me, it's floors & woodwork. It's a huge part of why I prefer old homes. I just love the woodwork one can find in homes that are say 75 years & older. The house linked in the OP is so far outside of my style, that the only thing I could say that I really liked about it is the rock wall in the back yard.

They do not look like engineered hardwood to me, and I've seen plenty of real estate listings with mistakes in them, so the fact that the listing says that doesn't mean much to me.
