I just had one in October. DH passed from rectal cancer at 47, he ignored signs and by the time he went to a doctor it was too late. I had a number of suspicious polyps and they want me back in 3 years for another colonoscopy.

I was having a yearly colonoscopy due to inflammatory bowel disease and still managed to have a polyp turn cancerous within a year. I lost my colon as a result.

My FIL refused any screening and ended up with colon cancer that had spread to his liver. This was back in 2000. He passed away at 81 about 4 months after diagnosis. My mother never had ANY screening of ANY kind. And I swear she would still be here if she hadn't smoked. And I was the one with breast cancer and no family history. My mom's mom lived to be 96 and was healthy as hell but also quite evil. lucyg sending good thoughts and happy juju!!!❤️

I just tried to schedule mine and I have to wait until December! I was shocked! Last time I had one 5 years ago there was no wait at all. I had some post menopausal bleeding and went in to get it checked out by my gyno, I typically have my GP do my pap smears. Well he noticed. a patch of tissue on my vulva, biopsy back, stage 3 pre cancer. So I am now waiting for the oncologist to meet with me and schedule surgery to have it removed. I noticed the change but thought it was just getting old. So I'm here to say. GET your checks! Oh man! Not what you want to hear when going to the gyn for something routine. Good luck! We are near for you as you take this difficult journey! thank you!
