My husband asks constant questions. I'm like, we are watching the same thing... I don't have any more answers than you do.I almost never watch TV or movies with him.
He will walk in half-way through something my daughter and I are watching and start asking ALL the questions. What's going on? Who is that? GAAAAH!
omg our husbands must be twins!!! Mine is constantly talking "who is that", "what did they do", etc - and I have to remind him that he came into the show at the exact same time I did!! It drives me crazy when people talk through stuff. DH doesn't hear as well as he used to, so he keeps asking me to repeat stuff for him. Which is fine sometimes but not if it makes me miss something else. Or he'll get reminded of another story and start telling me that. I also pause the show and give him a look, or make a big deal of rewinding so I can hear what I missed But honestly I prefer to watch stuff alone sometimes LOL And if we go to the movies I will only sit in the very last row because I don't want someone talking behind me Have you checked to see if you have Closed Captioning (CC) available? We leave it on, and turn it on when available on rented movies. Not because either of us is hard of hearing, but because neither sound editing nor enunciation seem to be done as consistently well as they once were (unless we're kidding ourselves, & it seems that way because we are losing our hearing).

No, because if he did, he would be dead a long time ago. ETA: Oh, we're talking about watching movies at home. We seldom watch anything together because he is a "fast-forwarder" and wants to get to the action; he finds any sort of conversation uninteresting. Maddening! Does he not care WHY the guy is trying to beat the other fellow senseless or such? Movies would pretty kind of short without details like that.

I don’t understand it but it’s just something I’ve come to accept.

Never. Neither of us do. It's one of the things that makes us compatible.
