I’m a meal planner so it’s usually picked up once a week. We typically can’t go longer because we eat fresh fruits & veggies so much, I have texture issues so don’t eat much canned or frozen produce. Sometimes it’ll only be 3 times a month when we eat out too much and use a lot of the meals we make extras of and freeze n our extra freezer. Or a quick stop in during the week if I forgot something (rare) or it has gone bad, probably once or twice a month. We don’t go to any bulk shopping stores. We keep wanting to check out our local farmer’s market, but then forget or sleep too late on Saturdays!
Have any of y’all noticed your store being sold out of a lot of items? My local HEB has been recently.

Family of 7 - usually more than once a week. I do a big shop every 7-10 days at Aldi, Sam's or both. At least once in between I do either a quick trip to the neighborhood grocery store or a Target pickup for more milk/fruit plus things I can't get at Sam's or Aldi. I also go to other stores sporadically, but I don't really count those. Costco is usually once a month and I often skip Sam's/Aldi that week.

I would say Jeremy shops or I order groceries about every 7-10 days. We usually load up on groceries. And then we wait until I've pretty much made up every single concoction I can come up with using every last thing I have left in my fridge and freezer. Usually we get to that point and Jeremy will ask me what's for dinner and I'll be like, "a box of baking soda?" We get takeout and make a new grocery list. But we wait until we are pretty much empty because neither of us like to shop.

I don't know, I almost never eat at home anymore except for snacks.
I sometimes miss the two years I spent as a housewife, meal planning and budgeting and cooking and all that. I don't have the time or inclination anymore.

When I have my act together I meal plan and go once a week. Right now things are crazy and I'm going day by day. This week I've been to the store three times.

Sometimes I pop into the store 2, 3, 4 times a week. Sometimes it's been 7 - 9 days. Then I go into the city a few times a month to go to Costco and a regular grocery store. This time of year I go to the fruit truck once a week) once more if I drive 30 minutes away to go a second time in a week) and the Farmer's Market weekly also.

One pickup order a week. Usually I am in some other grocery store once a week for things I can't get on the grocery order. This time of year I stop at a produce market at least once a week; I put up a lot of fruit in my freezer. About once a month, I go to the butcher shop for meat. We do have a separate freezer.
One thing that the pandemic made me do at least for a couple of years was cut down on my trips to the grocery store. I kept a fuller pantry and freezer. I've fallen back to bad habits of shopping more for convenience lately.

Usually one actual big trip to the store, but I have to fill in every few days (my barre studio is next door to a grocery so there is a lot of "oh crap we're out of X" at 7AM). We have two refrigerators, but 7-8 people depending on the time of year, and trying to keep enough food in the house for meals, snacks, and the kids who wander in is a job of work.

I picked other. I don’t really have a set schedule, more just when I need things. It could be a couple times in a week or I might go a few weeks without stopping . I mostly pickup small amounts of items here or there depending on what i need rather than big shopping trips.

When the kids were young I'd shop at least once a week for milk, bread, fruit, etc. Now that it's more often just DH and I at home I shop a few times a month. I've always kept a stocked pantry and I usually buy a 1/2 or 1/4 cow every fall. We are lucky to have a separate freezer in the laundry room.

Before the pandemic, I would shop weekly at a larger grocery store a little further away. But since the pandemic, I would pick up what I need at a smaller store closer to my house. So that meant going to the store a couple times a week for quick purchases. I've gotten used to these quick trips so I've continued.

Costco is our grocery store. We go at least once a week. It’s 45 min away in the town my kids to gym in to we shop while they do gym. Grocery stores for what we can’t get at Costco.

I shop every other week, but shop at three grocery stores when I go. Now that I have most delivered, I only shop at the food co-op in person. In the summer, I get a CSA box once a week.

Once a week mostly for fresh produce and chicken for the pets. Also, I rarely eat dinner so just stuff for lunches at work. D/H randomly goes out and gets some groceries when needed.

Groceries delivered once a month usually. Might have to store shop once later for milk and bread and fresh produce but not always.

Not often enough! I put it off until I’m surviving on popcorn and cereal. I hate grocery shopping. I’ve tried ordering groceries for pick up at the store and delivery. I wasn’t happy with the produce selection or some of the substitutes though.

Because I prepare food mostly based on what I feel like eating when I get up, I'm there almost daily, and because I like my produce to be super fresh.

id I didnt have to work, Id go more often Reading through this thread and knowing what I know about many peas here, it seems a lot of people who shop multiple times a week, don't work full time. I think that adding that caveat to the question would be far more interesting. I'm not working an 8.5 hour day and then going to the grocery store and then cooking dinner when I can at the very most spend 1.5 hours once a week at the store. And I wouldn't ask Jeremy to do so either when he is the primary shopper. I would much rather spend my little time to myself crocheting or reading a book. Grocery shopping daily would be to me a waste of time that is limited for me due to a full time job.

We go every 2 weeks when I get paid. Might have to stop to grab something we forgot or ran out of in between. Our garden has exploded over the last week. Based on what we brought in yesterday I think we will be able to shop out of our garden quiet a bit.

During the school year, typically once a week. During the summer, at least 2-3 times a week. With two teens at home, I am making at least 1 maybe 2 extra trips to buy more fresh fruit and veggies. My DH does all the cooking and he typically makes a few large dishes during the year to last multiple days, during the summer he cooks more frequently and that requires more ingredients.

I go every Sunday morning and then may stop once a week for fresh fruit or veggies, especially now since I’m trying to eat better.

Grocery shopping is not my favorite thing to do. In fact, of the household chores, it is my least favorite thing. I will menu plan every 2 weeks and purchase the bulk of what I need for the 2 weeks then. I will go shopping for fresh stuff and milk weekly.
Since Covid, my food storage has been beefed up. I always have at least 1 in reserve of things like laundry soap, mega package of toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, etc. I pretty much know what I go through in a years time of the staples and can goods so I keep those things stocked up. That is done every Fall.
