Me. I knew. And I love them. I was making conversation with the technician who was doing my nails one day and mentioned them and she said, “Not for you. That’s for young people.” Alrighty then, I’ll just take my cane and my cataract glasses and head on out. 🤣🤣🤣 Bitch!

I find it hilarious that people are calling out others over things they don't get because they got upset that someone doesn't like what they do. It's called a spirited conversation/friendly banter And no one is actually "upset" But yes, I totally don't get what's not to get about shows on streaming networks. If you meant certain popular shows, that's different than just saying "shows on streaming networks", isn't it?

Barbie and Hello Kitty for adults. Come on now. I love me some Hello Kitty. I used to host crops with a friend and someone in the area where we hosted them owned a little pink car that was totally decked out with Hello Kitty everything: seat covers, decals on the outside, steering wheel cover, antenna topper, bobble head on the dash. Not gonna lie, I kind of secretly coveted that car, LOL. LOL That car sounds hilarious! My niece loved HK when she was tiny, and I made a few birthday cards for her that I was really pleased with. But she grew out of it. After my surgery I have to wear white compression socks for a month. When I was first discharged, my poor stomach looked and felt like a battle zone (OK it still does ) with 5 sets of stitches, glue, dressings, bruises. I couldn't wear anything with waistbands, and I have one empire line dress, knee length, quite full, which was perfect for post-op, but with the white knee socks I felt like a middle-aged Lolita. All I needed was a HK bow in my hair to complete the humiliation! I dreaded someone coming to the door because I felt utterly ridiculous. I know Japanese adult women have this cult thing with HK and dressing like little girls. I'm not knocking it in the slightest, but I'm intrigued. Can you explain what the attraction is with Hello Kitty?

Can you explain what the attraction is with Hello Kitty? I like cute animation and illustration in general. Hello Kitty, Disney, Minions, Animal Crossing, all of it. It’s cute, it’s fun, it hurts no one, offends no one. I was majoring in industrial design with an emphasis on toy design until the college I attended discontinued my major halfway through the program. I’m not into dressing like a school girl though, that’s a bridge too far for me personally but my 13 yo DD sometimes likes to rock that look.

Carbonated water drinks. Bogg bags. Whatever current tumbler/cup there is. Chik fil a waffle fries, they just aren't that good the shape makes them a novelty but taste? Naaaw, their breakfast rounds are good though. High price purses and diaperbags. Everything but Bagel seasoning. Pumpkin everything. Shoes that you can't get dirty(I live on a farm). Super long fake fingernails and crazy long fake eyelashes too actually. Spending way more for a doodle dog vs just getting a poodle. Over filtered pictures, don't you want some accuracy to what you looked like in 30 years? And the duck lips hate those, just smile. All the bachelor/Bachelorette shows. Remaking movies over and over, how many Peter Pans do we really need? Bragging about working multiple jobs, or crazy amounts of overtime, I get it if you are in need of and excited about the $, but some literally brag about always working..

She has no expression, no animation at all. Hmm... I'm starting to realise I'm missing something here. Off to Google...

Clearly I don’t get out enough 😆 The equivalent of the smell (for me) is walking into Joann's when they put out the Autumn stuff and/or Trader Joe's. I think they have cinnamon scented pinecones instead of brooms though. I'm not a fan, my DH insists on putting one in the guest bathroom every season.

I'm feeling very attacked by this thread. 😂😂😂 LOL - same! The only thing I'm agreeing with is the hugely decorated fingernails. I don't watch Reality TV, Kardashians, Real Housewives - but I get why people do. Most of the things here I don't do, but I understand why people do. The nails? Don't get.

A lot of things mentioned here I love: Disney parks, avocado, olives, sushi, social media, IPAs, etc., I love. Like one of the other peas said, I feel attacked. Things on my list: Gum - it is disgusting Reality Shows - I just don't get it. I choose to not be around annoying people. Why would I watch them on television for entertainment? Fraternities and Sororities- A culture built on excluding people. Extra long finger nails- I don't know how people have a job with those. The bartenders at one of my bars can't open the darn cans. My job would be impossible. Energy drinks- So sweet! I'll drink coffee/espresso for my caffeine, thank you. Doodles- They are mutts. You are spending a huge amount of money for a mutt. The shelters are full of mutts that need homes.

That does clarify what I was thinking though - she has no expression other than eyes open or eyes shut. Even Gromit, who has no mouth either, somehow manages to be incredibly expressive with only eyes and "eyebrows". And the Minions are just brilliant, even with only 1 eye. I suppose I need facial expressions more than I ever realised before.

I think that type of “art” is great for rental properties, or staging a house for sale. I wouldn’t want to spend a ton of money on a place that I’m not living in, but would like it to be presentable and comfortable for guests. I have a couple things in my house from there, but not much. I also saw a teacher there buying things to decorate their classroom. They don’t always have a lot of cash to spend on that type of thing.
