Every time I make bread or pizza dough in my mixer the bowl of it gets stuck and I have a really hard time getting it off the base to wash it. This time it's completely stuck and I don't know what to do, short of washing the bowl without removing it. It's the artisan model, so you gently turn the bowl on the base to attach it before use.
Help!

I've never had that happen with mine. If I did though, I think I'd use an eyedropper to squirt some vegetable oil around the joint where the bowl and the base meet. If that didn't work then I'd fill the bowl with ice water to see if changing the temperature of the metal would cause it to shrink just enough to loosen it from the base. Beyond that... I'd go looking for a strong guy!

Yes. I always have a hard time getting it unstuck. I usually manage to get it after a lot of effort but if I can't I enlist dh to do it.

Yes, last time I made cookies I had to have dh remove the bowl, I could tell it was mixing oddly that time as the mixer was kind of wobbling. No idea why it did that, the dough wasn't that dry but it was a double batch!

yes pull the bowl one way, and pull the mixer the other way. i hold the mixer stand, sometimes Dh does it for me. I try to make sure I have the bowl on right now.
