Hi everyone! I have a few things to do today ... My girlfriend and I are going to a couple of stores to look for Spring decor (mainly for me because she has no money. ). Then we are going for coffee. . And I will NOT lend her any money!!!! Later, I will be taking photos of items I want to sell and then posting them on Facebook Marketplace ... I have pretty good luck selling things there. Dinner will be rechauffee KFC that I was craving last night! This is what I posted on FB today ... it's totally me ... I don't "do" outside at all ... I'm "indoorsy". I hope everyone is feeling OK ... at least able to fake it! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

leannec enjoy your time shopping and hope you find what you're looking for. We had a great time last night. Music was great and singing along was so much fun. I love the 50, 60 and 70 music. Today I have no plans but to spend time with my mother. She's coming over to spend the day with me. No idea what's for dinner yet, but KFC sounds good.

Just wanted to jump on real quick and thank all of you for the birthday wishes yesterday. It was a big one and I just keep telling myself I am lucky to be on this side of the grass. I am healthier than I have been in the past 10 years and loved by many. I am lucky!
I am taking the day off work tomorrow. I will get on and see what all of you have been up to.
Have a great Saturday!

leannec I'm a 85% indoor girl and a 15% outdoor girl. Just enough for two camping trips a year. Although Jeremy keeps saying we are going to be winter campers down south when we retire. We shall see about that. bklyngal62 the 60s and 70s were a time of great music. I have seen in concert many artists from that time. And I wasn't even born until 1975! stormsts I'm so glad you are taking a day off tomorrow. I just finished preparing all the icing for my cookies. What a giant mess that was. I'm going to go in and clean up my kitchen before Chloe gets here to decorate. I'm almost done with my laundry too. I thought I'd just do it today so I can rest tomorrow. Jeremy talked me into chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight.

leannec - enjoy your shopping and stay strong with your friend. stormsts - I hear you on the birthdays. Every time I start feeling ‘old’, I remind myself that I have seen 15 more years of life than my mum did, and that I am alive to enjoy my grandchildren - something she never got to experience. (Sorry if that sounded morbid - I think we need to appreciate every year we get) Today has been a normal Saturday - grocery shopping, lunch a walk and knitting while the football is on TV. Our game is on this evening - it starts in 40 minutes - and it’s ‘must win’ so we’ll be watching that too. For dinner, DH has made a roast chicken, with all the proper vegetables and gravy. He heads off to the US early tomorrow morning, so I will have leftovers for a couple of meals at least. Yay for no cooking for one!

It’s a quiet Saturday here. DH is heading out in an ATV ride with my brother. I will take Walker for a walk. I’m still trying to train him to walk nicely on a leash without dragging me from pole to pole to tree, etc.
DH made himself a crockpot full of chili this morning. I hate chili so I will have rechauffe steak for supper. I love me some steak!
Temps have started to drop. It went from 15 yesterday to 7 and only supposed to be 1-3 degrees next week. It was nice while it lasted.
Still looking for some dumbed down instructions for Tapatalk? Anyone? I want to be able to post photos directly from my gallery on my iPhone. Is that possible? I don’t want to have to host my photos in another site.

My granddaughter is here for the weekend and keeping us busy!
Dinner is meatloaf, pierogis and a salad. Ally and I like our pierogis with sour cream.
I hung some prints in my kitchen this morning with ds holding the level! I am heading to my room soon where he’s going to help me hang a few other things. I’m hoping to print some pictures and scrapbook today.

taylortroop I’ll try to help with posting pictures from Tapatalk. Open the thread you want to post on then hit the orange arrow to reply. On the screen there should be an outline of a photo on the left side, click that then allow access to your pictures. Select photos from your library. When they appear on the app you have to select the photo then click done in the lower right corner. You should then have size options. I usually go with small. Click your option and your photo should show in a post. I find I can only post one photo at a time. If you have any trouble send me a pm and I’ll try to help!

DH and I just got back from our walk. Thank goodness the sun is out because it is cold. My cheeks haven't warmed up yet. I got Wordle in 2 again and now I'm going to try Connections. Dinner might be Sloppy Joe's.

Faking it! That's my day. We did go out and have a coffee, but it was quick. Dh is going make chow mein for his dinner. We've been watching Beef. Quirky fun and scary people. stormsts, I LOVED your post. Please celebrate yourself a lot. You have a great attitude, too. leannec, have fun, but keep your wallet to yourself. jeremysgirl, I'm patiently waiting for cookie photos. Tearisci, I'm thinking of you and your sister. Please let us know how things went when you able to do so. Happy Weekend.

Happy Saturday!
Well, I got fairly good news yesterday. First of all, my sister is fine, They did another mammo and nothing showed up so that was a relief. They did another mammo for me and I got to see what they were looking for. It's a small round cyst or node in the dead center of my breast. Because of where it was, it was hard to get a good mammo pic so I also ended up having an ultrasound. The doctor said she thinks it could be an angry lymph node so she wants to wait 6 weeks and have me come back to see if it's still there and if it is, they will biopsy it. While it wasn't perfect news, it was at least not "you have cancer!" So we'll see in 6 weeks.
Tonight, we're going to our favorite local restaurant to celebrate another sister's birthday. They have the yummiest blueberry lemondrops so I'll be having a few of those!
Enjoy your day!

It is clean out the fridge night here...I'll have the haddock, green beans and potato from last night DH will have the cacciatore left from mid week...if it's not gone after tonight it goes to compost.
I have been looking at duck cooking recipes on Food network.....who know there were so many variations...The Barefoot Contessa says to heat a pot of boiling water and submerge the duck and boil for a bit...the goal is to liquify the fat so it can be skimmed off before roasting it.....Seems like a lot of work....I will roast the duck, and DH will love it...just sayin...

karenlou - another option is to boil water and pour it over the duck. Quicker and easier than boiling it in a pot. We have never bothered with doing that, but I don’t know if American ducks are different from European ones.

we went out early shopping.. hit the ski equipment shop. I bought some new waterproof gloves, dh bought a new helmet.. then the snowboard shop.. he got some snowboard boots for his ski bike, then he bought some snow boots with spikes you can flip on or off.. for those dog walks. then we went to storage and got his ski bike in the car. so now a lazy afternoon.. and my brother is cooking dinner.. and his son is up from utah. so great day.

Love that picture taylortroopDropped dh off at the golf course. Came back and packed up to go sit under an umbrella at the non-kid pool. Not only were there kids but the moms took all the regular sitting chairs and put 2 facing each other to put their legs on because all the loungers were taken. I didn’t feel like sitting on concrete so I left and sat on my patio. Worked on jewelry sketches for when I get back. My palm still has a hole in it so I really can’t make jewelry right now anyways. The good thing is I’ve managed to keep it from getting infected too. Not sure on dinner since I don’t know what time he’ll finish 🙄 ntsf your day sounds expensive but necessary for winter outdoor people.

jeremysgirl Those cookies look fantastic! Tearisci I am glad your sister is ok and that they feel good enough about what they saw to look again in 6 months! Last night DD's tap show was amazing. I could tell she was nervous dancing with the adults but I don't think others noticed. Both my MIL and DH said she looked relaxed! She had a great time and is really excited to do it again tonight. We ended up getting carryout pizza because we got out later than I thought we would. Tonight I am going to eat a chopped salad before the show and I will pack DD food to eat afterwards. DH will probably eat the leftover pizza. I am in the middle of helping DD make truffles but needed to take a break. We have 228 to make....

We had fish & chips for dinner. I was still full from lunch, so I couldn't eat it all. I'll have the leftovers for breakfast. Yeah, the diet's going well. bklyngal62 that sounds like a great night, I would love to do something like that. I grew up listening to 50s and 60s music (born in '67), and love to sing along to songs from those decades and the 70s. Tearisci I'm glad your news was "fairly good", and look forward to you getting "very good" news in six weeks! taylortroop what a beautiful big doggo, it was well worth the effort to post that gorgeous photo. jeremysgirl your cookies turned out great - I love the colours! And that photo of you and Chloe is gorgeous.

so I haven't worked how to post pics to the thread, but I changed my profile to a picture I got someone to take yesterday at the top of the mountain.. Nice! I use Postimages.org but I'm on a PC not my phone. I love all your stories about your life and skiing. I had never skied before I met DH (at age 36) and a few months after we married, 4 couples rented a huge house up at Northstar in Tahoe. He scheduled an appointment for a skiing lesson for me but it wasn't until the afternoon. He took me up on the bunny slope and skied down about 20 yards and told me to ski down to him. Of course, I skied right over his brand new skis. A few trips up to Tahoe later, I was doing much better and he bought me skis for Christmas. This was our Christmas card photo the second year we were married and all my friends in Louisiana thought it was one of those fake background shots. This was at Heavenly. I am definitely a fair weather skier.
