I lost the month of MAY from my favorite set of date stamps. I still hold on to hope I’ll find it but it’s been a long time since I’ve lost it.

I lost a favorite die from a set. I didn’t want to buy the set all over again. I had cleaned up my scrapbook tables, and gone through the trash. I figured it had been thrown out accidentally the previous week. A couple of weeks later, I was tidying up some random papers that had ended up behind my laptop, which just sits on a different table with my printer and my Cameo. And there was my missing die.

Several years ago as I was scrapping a trip, I look Idaho out of a set of state die cut ephemera with the intent to use it in my project. It sat on my desk for a while but when I was ready to use it, it disappeared. Over the last 6 years or so, it has randomly resurfaced in my stash in many places, and none of them have been where it belongs on my page or with its set. I have lost track of how many times I have moved during that time but that silly Idaho die has managed to stick with me. At first when I found it again, I fully intended to finally add it to my project but it never made it on the page. Now I like when it randomly appears so much that I don’t think it will ever end up on the page. At one point, I hadn’t seen it for maybe a year and then I randomly found it in a closet with my gift wrapping supplies, which have never mingled with my scrap stash. Now when I find it in some new random place, I just compliment it on its travels and send it on its way so it will find me again in the future. I haven’t seen Idaho in a while so it must be time for me to stumble upon it again. 😂

I tucked my marriage certificate safely in my scrapbook room amidst paper and I would really love to find that again! LOL

I seem to have lost my stamping platform. I keep holding off on ordering a new one in the hopes that the old one shows up.
Anyone have a favorite platform that won't break the bank???

Sn@p made/makes these plastic, semi-transparent, templates in a variety of sizes (in a set), to use to cut paper or pics. I love them and used the 2”x2” constantly. It’s great for all those 2x2 page protector pockets, you can frame your picture/paper and cut it to size so easily.
I lost the 2x2 one. I had always been careful with it, because it’s such an easily lost little piece, but one day I couldn’t find it and continued to not find it for over a year. Recently I was cleaning out a tray of discards and it slipped out between sticker sheets. I was so shocked to see it again!
There were many times I almost reordered the set, but it seemed too wasteful to get another one when I only needed the smallest piece.

I lost the "you're on mute" stamp from one of the Paper Person pandemic sets. I'm pretty sure I accidentally tossed it after cleaning it. 😐
However,we're still packing up our house from the destructive tree incident, and I found multiple sets of KI Memories acrylic "soup" letters I forgot I ever had. I love them so!

I bought the AE WITL Journal on a sale. On perusing it, I really liked it!! I was looking forward to using in for WITL this spring. Now it's disappeared. I looked through the craft stuff. I looked through the bookcases. It's a slim little journal, it could be tucked anywhere.

I need something like 18 or 19 cards for the spring exchange. I’ve made 12. As I was making them I was watching myself treat a very cute, but small,, spring sentiment stamp VERY carelessly. But I’d make a mental note about where I’d casually tossed it instead of putting it away r even someplace a little safer. I thin that was close to two weeks ago. Cleaned up,but of course I haven’t found it.

Yay Shakti! I have a similar YAY to share: my *absolute* favourite stamp set went missing - I had the stencils and dies in their pocket, but the stamps were gone. I was sure they had fallen into the garbage and since my DH is the one who empties my garbage he wouldn't know/notice. Found them behind the computer desk on top of the radiator (so when I checked the floor I couldn't see them). It's been 6 months and I was euphoric to find them!

O FRABJOUS DAY! CALLOO! CALLAY! My missing stamp has turned up!! It is now safely affixed to my GISTI! awesome! I lost my Cuttterbee scissors recently - looked everywhere, had DD17 come in and look (second pair of eyes and all that) -picked up a new pair earlier this week. The following day, I'm scrapping and Dusty shows up on my desk and is playing with something...my OLD scissors. I have NO idea where he found them but I have two pairs now.

Interestingly, reading this thread, I realize I'm quite unusual. Hah!! I still have the first corner rounder I ever purchased! It is older than my 22 year old son.
I carefully crafted one single 3x4 card that was supposed to go in my 2020 December Daily. I was working on it in Nov21. I used a certain card I'd held onto in my stash that I was SO excited to use- it was JUST the right card. I ran it through the printer several times to get the positioning right of journaling etc. And, the cherry on top, reindeer actually... was a reindeer embellishment sticker that I'd had my hands on for at least 7 or 8 December Dailies and hadn't used yet. I lovingly stuck the reindeer to the card, and it was just as I'd imagined. I was so stoked. I started putting away all the stash crap that you can imagine, so I could walk out of my craft room to the dining room where I actually scrapbook. I flipped through the December Daily, found the spot the card was destined for.
The card was MISSING!! GONE!! I retraced my steps, I dug through ALL my Christmas stash. I dug through all the other stash. I didn't cry, but I sure wanted to. There was nothing else to fill that pocket.. because I just put together the perfect card and couldn't recreate it. I ended up finishing up DD20 before December 21 (that's my usual...) and I put it away with a sticky note over the page protector slot for that card, and a little sigh. Because the book was not done.
Fast forward to July of 2023. We are getting ready to go camping, and my son's girlfriend was supposed to be getting beach towels out of the bathroom linen closet. Sooooo many beach towels in there, but we have a crowd and we are taking the whole pile. She bumps the little bin I keep on the shelf above the beach towels for our dogs gear. Brushes, nail grinder, paw fur trimmer, detangler, scissors, extra collar.. you get it. It crashes to the floor, and I go to help her clean it up. The plastic box the nail grinder is supposed to be stored in (but of course I just toss it on the pile!) has THE CARD stuck to the bottom of it! There was a little adhesive blob that had stuck to it, and it stuck to the plastic box (the grinder was new that year) and got put away in the bin!! So nearly 2 years after making that special card, it turned up with the dog's things in a bathroom cabinet. Pristine! DD20 was completed that day.
Sorry for the rambling post... But this is going to get printed and somehow added to my journaling somewhere- I never really thought of it as a "story." Haha!! Happy hunting yall!!

Moved the camp chairs to pack for the eclipse viewing tomorrow, boom, WITL Journal fell out. It must have fallen off the bookcase, into the chairs. Can't believe I found it BEFORE WITL!!!

Well, I'm another one with 2 CM corner rounders, one is the original one I bought 20+ years ago and the other is the replacement I bought when that one was lost for a long time. Fast forward to when DD2 packed up her room to leave for college, she was going through some stuff on her desk...and there was my original corner rounder. So that was 10 years ago, and neither one has been lost since. I did actually add a 3rd corner rounder recently because I found one from WRMK that creates a little slot in the corner after you round it so that you can just slide photos in and not have to use adhesive. I will be using that for some of the vintage photos I have from my Dad (after I scan them of course). I didn't get it from this site (nor did I get this set of 3), but it's the one on the right in this link.

So, with that missing (now found) stamp, I knew all about it. I knew I was going to lose it because I watched myself being an idiot. I knew when I lost it and kept an eye out for it for weeks.
Yesterday I just noticed that one of the new MMH premium cherry blossom dies was not in the package where I thought it was. I did not know it was lost. I have not been keeping an eye out for it in the two and half weeks since I last used it. And, of course, there's a reasonable chance it was attached to a scrap....
Also, of course, part of a now sold out limited edition kit.
