Thanks, Brandy. I showed it to him and he promised to begin anew again, so, we'll see...... Once he begins a healthy program, he sticks with it. He's had congestive heart failure for more than 20 years. He always gets checked for fluid buildup and has to be very careful not to get sick (it's tough). His stats are pretty good considering he hasn't been eating well or exercising. And the soda thing? OMG, I yell at healthy people about it b/c it wrecks your bone density. It's horrible. I'm hoping we'll all get healthier soon.
My mom actually stayed with each of her daughters on rotation after my dad passed because she wasn't used to the silence. It took her a few months and then she finally moved into an apartment. I think their fear is that they'll be alone and no one will visit. It's sad. I try to make it a point to call her often, even though we're States apart. She's my #1 reason for wanting to move back to NY.
My condolences once again. Sounds like everyone is holding up as best as they can.
