Hey Survivors! I remembered to put "SPOILERS!" in my title this week because this thread definitely requires spoilers Don't be afraid to post anything ... those who don't want to know info should just not open the thread ... Tonight is a two hour episode and it sounds like the tribes will be shaken up and merged into two tribes Here's what my DVR says: "Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner, We're Finally Playing Some Survivor" A switch-up shakes alliances; a blow to the head leaves one contestant struggling; a castaway wants to display (the rest is cut off ) I wonder who gets bonked on the head?

I think I know who gets hurt and I also think I know one of the vote-offs (not sure if two are voted out tonight or just one).

Voting Lindsy off was a huge mistake. I can't decide which tribe I think is the dumbest!!!

It's a good thing Dan knows how to talk to women. Wow-that apology was amazingly lame.

I was really disappointed to see Lyndsay go home instead of Rodney. That guy is such a loud mouth, dumbass jerk. And he did terrible in that first challenge. He may be a big guy but that doesn't mean he's any good at the challenges. Why the heck did the four bond? I don't know.
I loved the swap but really wanted to see Sierra get on a tribe with so many blue collar. I wanted to see her separate from that group.
I really hated to see them vote Max off. I think their reasoning was ridiculous--who is the most annoying?? Really?? So its not about who can help win challenges, cause Max was by far the best at the immunity challenge. As far as I'm concerned, that tribe deserves to keep losing.

The accident where Kelly gets her head bashed was so avoidable ugh that could have been a lot worse what a trooper she was!
I didn't get the strategy of sending girls first for that challenge where they broke the pots why not send your guys out first to try and get a bit of a lead. I also didn't see the reason to kill the hen, I doubt there was that much meat on that hen vs. the potential for eggs daily.
The two new teams are so unevenly matched it isn't even funny.
I loved it being a 2 hr episode I wish they did that more often.

Shirene just continues to ... Shock.... Me for lack of a better work. She is just wow!
Killing a hen that will give you eggs .... Stupid
The blood, ick, six stitches, tough girl
Good for no collar winning twice ... Just to get disbanded ugh
The mix up is so uneven.
Just wth at the last tribal tonight. She should have gone home, much more annoying than max.

Not to mention that there was a rooster in the crate. They should have eaten it. And how stupid of Shirin to say she was glad they didn't get the chickens? She is an idiot.

I don't understand why the losing team didn't utilize the only two men (Max and Will) better in the last immunity challenge. Max could have run the first leg and possibly the third leg with a women and Will could have at least tried. He might not be fast, but I would think he would have been stronger in pushing and pulling the cart. They might have had a chance.
And why get rid of Max when you already are outnumbered by men in the immunity challenges? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I am literally shocked with the stupidity of the red tribe voting Max out. They are already so weak at challenges compared to the blue tribe that ended up being all men and one girl (just looking at physical strength) and then they decide to vote out their strongest athletic person. Their reasoning? Vote out who annoys us the most? Where is the sense in that? You aren't there to having a wonderful, camp experience. You are there to win a million dollars. They just sealed their fate. If they lose every single challenge from here on out to the blue team they only have themselves to blame. Why vote out Max and keep Will who is really costing you challenges? Does that make any kind of sense?
I loved that it was a 2 hour episode, although I thought mixing the tribes up happened much too early. One tribe only had one member gone-I would have like to see it go on for at least a couple more weeks so we could experience the concept of white collar, blue collar, no collar a little longer. Now that concept is completely gone.
Kelly was a real trooper after getting hit on the head like she did-she wanted to keep on going and just dealt with the pain. I know head injuries do bleed a lot, and I was thinking it probably wasn't that severe and to tell you the truth was pretty surprised when she came back to camp with 6 stitches in her forehead-she's a tough woman.
I'm sad Max is gone. I really liked him as a player. I thought Shirin was much more annoying around camp with people constantly mentioning how she wouldn't stop talking and how strange she was. Maybe they felt Max was a huge threat, but regardless, to me it would make more sense to keep him at least for awhile to win challenges and then cut him close until you are down a few more people.
Yes, why is it that every season they make the stupid mistake of killing the egg laying hens? Just like making fire why don't they look this stuff up on Google before they head out there and kill the rooster. I thought Jenn was a little silly for not eating the chicken but I guess it was her choice. I'm a vegan and told DS if I was out there and had nothing else to eat-no veggies like I normally shop for I'd make an exception and eat the chicken for the protein in that situation, although at home the thought of eating chicken makes me sick. You do what you have to do, and what will keep you strong for challenges. Although she did find the idol on her walk.

I think a vegan eating meat after not eating meat for a really long time would really pay for that choice/decision. I am thinking your digestive system would really make you pay for that choice with some really bad bowel/digestive problems.

I agree with everything you all have posted. (the advantage of coming to this thread late.... I don't have to type quite as much. lol)
-- Stupid to vote off Max when your tribe is already at a disadvantage strength-wise.
-- Stupid to kill a hen when there was a rooster right there.
-- I wish they'd kept the three tribes for a bit longer, it does seem early to merge them. The advertising and publicity for this season was built around the "collar" thing, so why end it so soon? Although, I was already getting tired of hearing Jeff shout "Blue Collar" and "White Collar" and "No Collar" at challenges since they didn't have any other names.
-- As much as I love Jeff he still annoys me sometimes with his questions at tribal, and the way he leads people on and forces the group to talk about things like blindsides. Why even bring that up and maybe put ideas into people's minds? I mean the point of a blindside is that the person doesn't expect it at all. And I did feel sorry for Max, getting voted out when he loved the game so much.
I'm not feeling anything at the moment for anyone.

The swap has been after the 4th person is booted for a while. They started with 18, and we're down 5. Merges typically happen at 10 or 11 (11 on Brains/Beauty/Brawn - the most similar recent season), so we don't have long before the merge.
I hope they do a balancing challenge next week to give the weaker tribe a fighting chance, especially since this one was strength based.

omg, i have rodney in the pool. or should i say "merrick has rodney in the pool". after his cave man ranting about a woman's place, he is back to "cool, calm and collective" though, don't worry!
this is the second season in a row that i am screaming at my tv, hoping they lose so MY player can get voted out (last season i had drew, or drew's brother, he was a dumbass too, treating jaclyn like a piece of crap whenever jon wasn't around).
and i agree, teams are very uneven now, not sure why they voted out max! and is there no one that linsey WON'T argue with??? i think she missed out on the social aspect of the game. much like dan (?), the guy coming down on everyone about their work ethic. he seemed to realize it wasn't really working for him and backed off. she was a little pitbull that couldn't let anything go. ever.

Gah! Stupid not to eat the rooster! Do none of these people have a lick of common sense?
I found myself really irritated at most of the men last night. Everything they said about women was so degrading. So they don't understand how a women's brain works so they mock us instead?
I thought I would hate the no collar tribe but they've actually turned out to be my favourites. Blue collars seem so hell bent on proving america can't survive without them and that they are a cut above everyone else. White collar, well there's maybe one person I like but the rest are all just annoying.

It's a good thing Dan knows how to talk to women. Wow-that apology was amazingly lame. Right? An apology paired w/finger pointing is never a good idea. Especially when it's a man apologizing to a woman, lol. Killing any of the animals is a bad idea. Even killing the rooster wouldn't be smart. Isn't he necessary for the fertilization of the eggs? The only advantage to getting rid of Max (and it's a teensy one) is that he was all set to do some maneuvering - and wasn't quiet about it. If they had gotten rid of Shirin, he would have been stirring up all kinds of trouble afteward, knowing he was on the chopping block. It would have created all kinds of drama at camp. Chop off the head of the snake, you know? Of course, this definitely could come back to bite them in the butt . . . I agree w/ monklady123. In most seasons, I love the drama that comes w/switching up the teams, but the whole premise of this season was seeing how the 3 different groups work together and fare at the challenges. Season's barely begun and now that's over. It's just like any other season. Why bother grouping them that way if you're just gonna change it up so soon. I'm not liking it. And I am also getting tired of Jeff's stirring the pot at Tribal. It's SO obvious that he gets to watch the footage of them at camp and he bases his questions on what he sees. Lame.

Why do you need the eggs fertilized? you are only there for another month. You're not going to have the time to raise baby chicks in a month. Roosters are not needed for egg production any more than men are needed for women's egg production.

I know it's a common misconception that a rooster is required for hens to lay eggs, but you'd think if someone is going to be on survivor, they would do some research. I guess it's never been mentioned ON the show but I know it's been mentioned all over the net whenever they kill a hen before the rooster (and they do it every time).

I think a vegan eating meat after not eating meat for a really long time would really pay for that choice/decision. I am thinking your digestive system would really make you pay for that choice with some really bad bowel/digestive problems. Good point and you are right-I'd totally forgotten about that. I did eat meat at my parent's house at Christmas because my mother prepared Christmas dinner and I wanted to be polite. It was 9 months after I became a vegan, which isn't really that long at all. It took 2 days to digest and left me feeling bloated, but no nausea or anything like that. I now know that once you stop eating meat you no longer have the enzymes in your gut to break down the meat-those gradually go away the longer you don't eat meat. Jenn was much better off avoiding the meat and going on her walk-especially since she found the idol-smart girl! Debbie
