I bought a really pretty (in the bottle) mint shade by Rita Ora for Rimmel, why can't I get it to look good? What ever I do it looks streaky and uneven, is it just rubbish nail polish or is it my technique which I admit sucks a certain anatomical donkey part. That is how my nails look too, streaky and uneven. I also find that the Essie pastels I have tried get really "watery" and no matter how much I try to get off the brush first, I always get a big glob of polish on my nail. Probably makes no sense! But it's hard for me to describe.

Pastels look horrid on my pasty white skin. I was shocked about flowerista being a spring color as well nut it looks amazing.

I don't worry too much about seasonal colours, and I'm not a big pastel fan, but as it happens my current polish is rather spring-ish. Picture Polish Bohemian: not my pic, tho.

jennyap That color is gorgeous! I don't know that brand, but now I have to search it out in the US. My nails are pale blue (as of about 10 minutes ago.) I had a pretty taupe color for the last two weeks. My toes are deep red -- they look best with dark colors.

I'm wearing OPI's This Color's Making Waves. It's more sparkly than it looks in the photo.

I love the fun, gorgeous colours in nail polishes, but I prefer more neutral shades on my fingers. I do wear unusual colours on my toes.
Right now on my toes I have Essie's Beach Bum Blue, which is a shimmery robin egg blue. On top of that I have OPI liquid sand Get Your Number, which is a very translucent glitter with a cool texture.
On my fingernails, I did two coats of Essie Buy Me a Cameo, a shimmery rose gold, but it streaks a lot. I also wanted a bit more colour, so I added a top coat of OPI Melon of Troy, a translucent coral. You can see the rose gold underneath, and I like the brighter colour for spring.
The colours look really great with my skin tone and are quite neutral.
I do my nails at home. I bought professional tools and keep practicing applying the nail polish to do a great job.
With my Sephora points, I chose a Josie Maran sample box and love her products. I got a little container of moisturizing nail polish remover pads. They are fabulous! Even the most stubborn laquers wipe right off without chemicals that smell horrible and remove all the moisture from your nails and skin.
I also swear by Dior's Nail Glow. My nails have never been thicker and healthier, and the treatment adds just enough tint to make my nails look amazing. I get so many compliments on my manicure when all I'm wearing is the Dior Nail Glow.
All the peas' great reviews on Zoya polishes has convinced me to try them out. I am going to order some very soon. I have been paying attention to their ads in magazines, and I love their colours. They're so sophisticated and modern. I'm going to try more colours on my fingernails because their shades are so elegant and grown up.
