My BF wants crackers. DD wants cornbread. I want a ham sandwich. So that made me wonder what everyone else does.

The corn bread or even corn muffins sound wonderful with that.

I make the biscuits from Red Lobster, the package at Sam's or Walmart. Or fresh French bread.

I usually make bread. I have made crackers before but they are kind of an ass ache. Bread is easier.

There wouldn't be enough calories in vegetable soup to serve as a dinner for my athletes, so there would have to be a sandwich or something filling.

When our tomatoes are in season I pick them from the garden and make bruschetta.

Depends on the soup. Sometimes crusty bread, sometimes cheese sandwiches, sometimes just crackers or I make little crustinis.

Normally I would make a fresh loaf of bread in my bread maker. On the weekend I made roasted pumpkin and capsicum soup, and DD made some chili and feta cornbread to go with it, and I did some chili butter for the cornbread. It was really good.

The suggestion of grilled cheese sandwiches sounds good, but I usually serve crusty bread.

Since I try to avoid starchy unrefined carbs, I'd make a salad and DH would have bread.

I would want a protein with veggie soup, so some kind of sandwich or at least cheesy toast (buttered sourdough toast with a little shredded cheese melted on top, sometimes with garlic, too).

crackers, cornbread and a sandwich would all be options at my house. Maybe not at the same meal. But it would depend on what the weather was like, how much time/energy I had for fixing cornbread or a sandwich and what had been eaten at other meals that day.

I serve it over rice with cornbread. DH eats his with warm bread and butter. I use a thick bread like Texas toast and just warm it for him and he puts a ton of real butter on it.
