I'm a registered democrat who absolutely would not vote for Hilary and I know many who agree. So I hope she is not our only choice. Out of all the Democrats who would you vote for as President if this person should get the nomination?. A Democrat who has her credentials? Jim Webb? Lincoln Chafee? Martin O'Malley? Joe Biden (uncle fluffy)? Elizabeth Warren. Now I like Elizabeth Warren but she is too far to the left and she can do more good where she is. Are there any up and coming Democrats that could win?

I am so sick of Clintons and Bushes running for/occupying office. Seriously, if she makes it into office, we will only have had 3 different families running the country in the last 25 years. IMHO: Elizabeth Warren is a far superior choice as the Democratic nominee, but she isn't running. Yes, a resounding YES to this! I really wish Elizabeth Warren would run! Alas, it will not happen in 2016, hopefully in the future. . . I have no idea who I'd vote for out the current crop of hopefuls. The current crop of Republicans are crazy & none of the proposed Democrat runners are appealing either. Ugh

Y'all want me to run? It could be kind of fun. I might miss on dealing well with congress. I don't deal well with squabbling children.

I don't know yet. I do like Jim Webb, as he was my former senator. But I need to know more about his presidential platform if he decides to win. But I won't vote for Hillary and only two of my democratic friends will vote for her. Most of us are simply not fans...this from a girl who has her autograph framed on my wall! Ha!

Do you mean absolutely not unless she is the dem candidate against a republican? Because most people i know say this, but then qualify it with "Except if push comes to shove and my other choice was the republican". I ask because I vote 3rd party, and I have only met one other person who has done that in a presidential election.

Here's six reasons to vote for Hillary if you're a dem or independent. I think number 2 is the most important. I ABSOLUTELY do not want a tea partier to nominate a new supreme court justice!!! REASONS

Yes! An atheist or an openly gay person? Not there yet. We had a female atheist childless unmarried living-in-sin Prime Minister a few years ago. No gays yet though. Unfortunately I don't think that one will happen in my lifetime.
And you're right, I can see a woman becoming President in the US centuries before y'all would vote in an atheist.
oh, I think we've probably had some atheist presidents already. They just didn't admit it publicly.

Martin O'Malley's ego is so huge he will likely announce his candidacy despite little chance of beating Clinton.
I despise him enough that I would vote for her just to make sure he didn't stand a chance. And I really, really do not want to see her become president.
Signed,

REASONSI couldn't agree more. Every time my mind flits in the direction of voting Republican, I remember SUPREME COURT APPOINTEES and get queasy. No way will I ever again vote for a Republican for president. MAYBE unless he/she is legitimately pro-choice. Supreme Court appointments outweigh every other consideration in my mind.

It's not just not wanting a Republican President because of the Supreme Court and Choice but its all the other stuff they stick their head in the sand about and try and pretend is not there.
Like immigration reform, climate change, the infrastructure, and gay marriage. All of these items have to be discussed on the Federal Level to ensure ALL states benefit from the solutions not just some states because they are smart enough to understand something needs to be done before it gets any worse.

Jimmy Carter was a nice guy, but he was a terrible president. Reagan scared me. All of his speeches were so vague. He said nothing substantial, but he said it very well. If we had a good third party candidate, I'd vote for him or her. I'd love to see a female president, but I really don't want the Clintons in the White House again. Same with another Bush. Frankly, with our politics becoming more and more polarized, I'm finding it harder to decide on a candidate with each election. The system is rigged so that only a Democrat or a Republican can win. A third party candidate can't even get to the debates. I want more choices.

I wish I could say otherwise, tho. :/ I think people are dying to elect the first woman President. I just wish it were not likely to be Hilary. Some may be dying to elect a woman president but if one would compare her credentials with the credentials of all the others running or thinking of running you will see she is actually the most qualified of the bunch.

I'm sure she may seem that way to you and many others, but she has several disqualifiers in my mind. Deal breakers. So for me, pretty far from qualified, let alone most qualified. That's the thing. Different people consider different things to be qualifications. I would personally be thrilled to vote for a woman who I considered the most qualified. What an exciting day that would be. Deal breakers now you have peaked my curiousty. What disqualifiers if you don't mind sharing.

So you're saying Dem's should be happy with the Repub's nominations tho? I don't think either would be happy with each others noms.

I'm not there. Yet.

I was going to write in Hilary's name, knowing she wouldn't win, just as my protest vote. But I really couldn't stand the thought of Sarah Palin as VP. I honestly think I am getting closer to voting third party just because I haven't been thrilled about a candidate in so long.

I'm not there. Yet. I disagree with this argument. Because until people stop giving the elections to the dems and the republicans, they will always be in power. That is, IMO, a weak argument that only serves to support the status quo, and basically you and those like you, are merely pretending to have the illusion of choice, and you participate and uphold this structure. You are the one that throws away your vote, each time you toss your vote in the direction of one of those two parties. You are saying to them, do what you will, and I will pretend that you didn't put before me EXACTLY who you planned to put in front of me on a ballot, and then I will vote for them because I don't want to "throw away" my vote and I can't stomach the other side at all. They know it. They own us. And until more people decide enough is enough, they will just keep at it. Hilary has something in the BILLIONS of dollars to put into this, and if you think that money can't buy the white house in this country (right up until the very end when we all go through the voting theater in 2016), then I've got some ocean front property for you right here in AZ.

I was living in Chicago when Obama decided to go campaigning. When he first stated his ideations for president everyone up here was going "Who is this guy?"
The list of Republicans that are running is scary.
I just don't think that voting for crazy just because they're pro-life is a reason to vote for them. (My mom would seriously annihilate me for thinking this--and there are SO many voters who think like this. Maybe if we fixed the child protective services and foster systems and made birth control free in this country there would be less abortion) I've had others tell me what to do with my body, and I didn't like it one little bit. Especially men.
I'm not a fan of Hillary Clinton's, but I'd vote for her before I'd vote for Jeb Bush, Christie, Huckabee (he scares the pants off of me).
I'd vote for ANY Democrat before I voted for Sarah Palin. Please, Republicans don't put her on the ticket just because of Hillary.
Hell, I'd vote for Roseanne Barr before I voted for Palin.
